23. Mom is here?

MADHU'S POV

I walked out of the classroom, stretching as I heard a groan.

"Every day I want to drown myself in hydrochloric acid," Tanya said, slouching as Mina had her hand around Tanya's shoulder.

"Just because you got 6 out of 20 doesn't mean it is the end of the world." I comforted her, patting her back.

"But all of you did way better than me," she said, almost crying as I looked at Mina, who looked annoying.

"Why don't you help your girlfriend out?" I asked Mina as she glared at me.

"Ah, ha, why don't you try?" She said this as I scoffed.

"She is your girlfriend, after all," I mumbled as she gave me a fake smile.

"Every time I teach her, she ends up crying and then gets hungry," she complained as I looked at Tanya, who avoided my gaze.

"Oh, look, your puppy is here," Mina said as I followed her gaze. My lips curled into a smile as I saw Ekansha running towards me as she smiled cheekily, holding a smoothie.

"Hey, babyyyy," I squeaked as she came, giving me the smoothie as I took a sip and showed her a thumbs-up sign.

She clapped happily as she grabbed my wrist, dragging me towards the parking lot as I turned my head back, waving at my friends.

We sat in our seats as she began driving. I took a sip of my drink as I glided my hand on her shoulder.

"Don't distract me," she said as I scoffed.

"Oh, so I am a distraction?" I asked angrily as she bit her tongue.

"No, Sona, I didn't mean it like that," she said as I looked out of the window. I felt her hand creep on my thigh as I pushed it off.

"Don't touch me; I'm just a distraction, right?" I asked as she sighed in defeat. She grabbed my hand, giving me a kiss on my fingers as she said,

"My Sona, please, you are my life; don't talk like that," she whined as a smile crept on my face. I hid it quickly as I said,

"Hmm, sure,"

"Also, I will drop you off, and I think I will come at around 8:30 pm," she informed me as I gasped.

"Why do you have to stay out so late? It's unfair," I mumbled, feeling a bit sad since, for the past week, she has been busy.

"It's because of the annual function; I have to help them set everything up. Trust me, tomorrow I'll be free," she said as I nodded half-heartedly.

"But you have to come in my room tonight; I want to cuddle," I said as she grinned.

"Ooo, someone is getting attached," she teased as I pulled a poker face.

"Okay, then stay in your room," I said as I pinched my cheek.

"Ehhh, sorry, Sona, I was just teasing you," she stated as I rolled my eyes. We reached our home as she parked in front of the house. I undid my seat belt, opening the door, and I felt her tap my shoulder.

I turned around, annoyed, and she smiled mischievously as she undid her seatbelt and grabbed my face, giving me a quick peck as my eyes almost came out of their sockets.

"You bloody idiots, what is someone seeing?" I shouted as I opened the door, and she smiled innocently, waving me good-bye as I got out.

I walked towards the front door as I heard two women talking.

"I'm home!" I announced, walking towards the living room as I saw the figure of Aunty and someone else. They were standing, and I felt my heart drop as I recognized the silhouette of the other woman.
