Faye's POV
Engfa was calling...
I didn't answer; Yoko was with me.
Engfa was calling again...
Crap! Why does she keep on calling me?
"Answer it, your phone's beeping is annoying," Yoko said while closing her eyes.
She was in my bed, and I decided to sit up and answer the call.
"Yes? What do you want?" I said.
"I'm already here in Cebu and almost at your house," she said.
My eyes widened in disbelief.
"Are you serious?" I asked, leaning over from my seated position. I put my hand over the phone to whisper, not wanting to wake her up.
"Yes, your address is..." She recited my address.
What the heck? How did she know my address? I never gave it to her!
"You told me you'd be here in a month," I said.
"Well, they approved my vacation leave earlier, so I'm coming over now. I'll just ring the bell," She said and hung up.
Crap. I need to inform Yoko about this. I woke her up from her sleep, and I could see the confusion on her face as she opened her eyes.
"Yo, uhm..." I cleared my throat before I continued "Engfa is coming over now, and I don't know what to do," I said.
Her expression turned angry.
"She told you a month the other day, right? I heard you guys talking when you drove us home," she said, sitting up and looking at me fiercely
"Yes, I don't know what happened. I'm shocked she knows my address. Somebody must have given it to her," I said, wondering why.
DING DONG
The doorbell rang. It was only five minutes after she called!
"Uhm, Yo... You need to stay here in my room and don't come out. I'll handle her alone," I said, her face turning gray.
I was about to leave when she grabbed my hand and stood up from where she was sitting.
"You want me to hide? Is that what you want me to do?" she said sarcastically and smirked.
"Uhm,... sort of? We both know you're my nephew's girlfriend. She might spill the information to Bright. I don't want my nephew to get mad," I said, quite confused about what to do or say.
"Really? I'm sorry, Faye. but I will show myself to her," she said, standing up and hurrying to the door, running down the stairs.
"Yoko, please don't be stubborn. We need to think before rushing into things!" I said, finally reaching her hand.
"I said don't!" I exclaimed, not meaning to grip her wrist so hard that she exclaimed in pain.
"Ouch!" she exclaimed.
"Uh, I'm so sorry, Yo. I didn't mean to," I added, seeing tears welling up in her eyes.
I grew worried and tried to wipe her tears with my finger, but she stopped me by gently pushing my hand aside before I could touch her face.
"Go on, such a coward,!" she said, walking back upstairs to my room.
The bell kept ringing, and I rushed to the gate to open it.
