CHAPTER-1

In the bustling realm of export imports, Rajan Industries stands as a beacon of success under the astute leadership of Amarendra Rajan. His late wife Aradhana Rajan and himself started this business together and propelled it into the global spotlight. Aradhana played a pivotal role in shaping the company's trajectory, leaving behind a lasting legacy. She left the world when their daughter Aditi is 10 years old. From then on, Amarendra stood as a rock to take care of his wife's creations, their daughter and the business empire. Hailing from Mangalore, the family settled in Mumbai to grow the business.

Aditi Rajan, 26 years old, 5 ft 8-inch tall, fair complexion, and with a mole on her chin just like her mother. After losing her mother, her life involved her father and aunt's family who lives in Mangalore. Her dad made sure she gets all the affection of both her mother and father by playing the dual role being a single parent. After her education, she joined her dad's company and now working as a CFO. Her forward-thinking approach is steering the company towards a visionary future.

 A grand business party unfolds in Mumbai's luxury hotel Azure Horizon, where the city's elite entrepreneurs gather. Among the distinguished guests are Vaibhav Roy, the Chairman of Roy Group, and his wife Sharmila Roy. The Rajans too graced the event. The air is filled with the buzz of conversations and clinking glasses.

Amarendra and Vaibhav cross paths exchanging pleasantries that quickly transitioned into a conversation.

Amarendra: "Mr. Roy, it's always a pleasure to meet fellow visionaries in the business world. Your accomplishments with Roy Group are truly inspiring." 

Vaibhav: "Likewise, Mr. Rajan. Your innovative strategies in the industry have set a benchmark for many. It's an honour to be in the presence of Rajan Industries' leader."

As they engage in a lively discussion about market dynamics and future collaboration, Amarendra calls Aditi over, "Aditi, meet Vaibhav and Sharmila Roy. They are key players in the business landscape. 

And this is my daughter Aditi. Soon she'll be taking over as the CEO of Rajan Industries." he introduces her to the couple. 

Aditi: "Pleasure to meet you both. I've heard wonderful things about Roy Group's contributions to the industry."

Sharmila (warm smile): "The pleasure is ours, Aditi. Your father speaks highly of you, and we can see why. Your achievements are impressive."

After some time, the father-daughter duo excused themselves to circulate among other guests.

Sharmila with enthusiasm turned to Vaibhav, 

Sharmila: "Vaibhav, did you notice Aditi's poise and intelligence? She would make a perfect match for our Armaan, don't you think?"

Vaibhav: "You might be onto something, Sharmila. Their union could be a powerful alliance, both personally and professionally."

Sharmila: "Imagine the synergy between Roy Group and Rajan Industries with Aditi and Armaan at the forefront. It could be a match that not only unites two families but also creates a powerful force in the business world."

Vaibhav: "Sharmila, before we delve deeper into this, have we considered Armaan's perspective? Do we know if he is open to the idea of an alliance?" 

Sharmila: "You remember the last time we talked to Armaan about marriage after Avantika's wedding? He mentioned that he's open to the idea and ready for this next phase of life." 

Vaibhav: "Yes, I remember it. Then let's go and talk to Amarendra."

The duo reached the senior Rajan once again, 

Sharmila: "Mr. Rajan, it's such a pleasure to have this opportunity to speak with you again. Vaibhav and I were just discussing something important, and we thought it would be great to share our thoughts with you."

Amarendra: "Of course Mrs. Roy." 

Sharmila: "Well, we've been thinking about a potential alliance between our families. My son Armaan Roy will make a perfect match for Aditi. What do you think about that?" 

Vaibhav: "Aditi's intelligence and grace have truly impressed us; we believe a union between her and Armaan could not only be wonderful personally but also create a powerful partnership in the business world."

Amarendra: "I appreciate your openness and the thought behind this proposal. It's an interesting idea. However, I would like to discuss this with Aditi before making any decisions." 

Sharmila (nodding): "Absolutely Mr. Rajan. Aditi's perspective is crucial. Take your time to talk to her, and whenever you feel ready, we can continue this conversation. Unfortunately, Armaan is out of town with his brother for some urgent business matters. Otherwise, I could have introduced him to you now. But once he's back, we can arrange a meeting for the kids to get to know each other better." 

Amarendra: "Yes, I believe it's important that both Aditi and Armaan are comfortable with this idea."

The next morning at the Rajan residence, Amarendra and Aditi sit down for breakfast. 

Amarendra: "Aditi, there's something important I'd like to discuss with you. Last night at the party, Vaibhav and Sharmila Roy approached me with a proposal. They're suggesting a potential alliance between our families, specifically between you and their son, Armaan." 

Aditi: "Armaan? I heard about him sometime back. Isn't he the CEO of Roy Group?"

Amarendra: "Yes, that's him. Armaan is 28 years old, the only son of Sharmila and Vaibhav. He's currently managing the CEO position at Roy Group and is doing exceptionally well. Vaibhav spoke highly of him, describing his leadership skills, vision, and the great strides he has made for their company." 

Aditi (listening attentively): "I see. It sounds like he's accomplished a lot at a young age." 

Amarendra: "Indeed, and the Roy's are a reputable and well-established family. Sharmila and Vaibhav expressed their interest in this alliance, and I wanted to discuss it with you. What are your thoughts on this, Aditi?" 

Aditi: "Dad, I think it's important to consider such proposals carefully. I'd like to talk to Armaan and get to know him better before making any decisions."

Amarendra, pleased with Aditi's measured response, smiles, "That's a wise approach, Aditi. Your opinion matters the most in this matter. Take your time, and when you're ready, we can proceed accordingly." 

Later in the day, Amarendra calls Vaibhav, 

"Vaibhav, I spoke to Aditi about the proposal, and she's open to considering it. She would like to talk to Armaan and get to know him better. I believe it's a positive step forward." 

"Amarendra, thank you for discussing this with Aditi. We respect her decision and are more than willing to give Aditi and Armaan the time they need to understand each other. Let's plan a meeting when they're both ready."

"Absolutely, Vaibhav. I'll keep you posted, and we can coordinate a meeting at the right time. I believe this could be a meaningful alliance for both families."
