CHAPTER - 6

There is a pooja held in Roy's house. Rajans arrive at the house. Aditi, dressed in a traditional salwar kameez, shares a smile with Armaan as they catch each other's eyes. However, Aryan appears moody, and their interactions are limited to silent communication. After the pooja, the family gathers and discusses about the upcoming marriage. Aryan finds Armaan in his room, and without mincing words, he demands that Armaan come clean with the family.

Aryan: "Armaan, you can't keep leading Aditi on like this. You need to tell the family the truth." 

Meanwhile, downstairs, Sharmila instructs Aditi to call Armaan to join the family. Aditi complies and heads upstairs to find Armaan. As she approaches his room, she hears a shocking statement from within.

Armaan: (voice from inside) "I will break the engagement." 

Startled, Aditi freezes just outside the door, realizing she has unintentionally eavesdropped on a crucial conversation. As the door opens, both Armaan and Aryan are shocked to see Aditi standing there, her expression a mix of surprise and confusion.

The trio descends to the living room, and an air of tension surrounds them. The family gathers, and Armaan, with a heavy heart, begins to reveal the truth.

Armaan: "I owe all of you an apology. I've been hiding something, and it's time to come clean. (He looks at Aditi) I can't continue with this engagement."

Silence blankets the room as the weight of Armaan's words sinks in. Sharmila, unable to contain her confusion, questions Armaan.

Sharmila: "Armaan, what is going on? You need to explain." 

Armaan takes a deep breath and proceeds to reveal the complicated web of emotions involving Priya, the past, and the on-and-off relationship. The room fills with a mix of shock, disappointment, and anger. 

Amarendra: (angry) "Armaan, how could you do this?" 

Amidst the tension, Aditi listens silently, her sadness palpable. However, Harshavardhan steps in with a surprising stance.

(Harshavardhan Roy is Armaan's grandfather)

Harshavardhan: (calm) "If Armaan is not ready for this, it's better we address it now rather than let it linger. It's painful, but sometimes breaking it now saves everyone from more tears later."

Amarendra: (angrily looking at Armaan) "Is this how you handle commitments? We trusted you, and you betrayed us. This engagement was not just about two individuals; it involved our families and businesses." 

Aditi, facing the harsh reality, confronts Armaan, seeking clarity.

Aditi: "Is this the reason for your distance, Armaan? It's better to know now than after marriage. Thanks for wasting my time." 

Fueled by disappointment and hurt, the Rajan family makes a decisive move.

Aditi: "I can't continue with this engagement. It's clear that there are unresolved issues here. I'm breaking it off." 

Amarendra: "The business deal, too, will be broken. Trust has been irreparably damaged." 

The father and daughter walk out of the Roy mansion leaving behind a void where once alliances and promises stood. The Roy family is now left to grapple with the aftermath of Armaan's choices.

Two days after the shattered engagement, Aditi visits the Roy office building to formalize the paperwork regarding the termination of the business alliance. Aryan, seeing her decided to talk to her. 

Aryan: "Aditi, can we talk for a moment?" 

Aditi nods silently. Aryan takes her aside, away from the prying eyes of the office. 

Aryan: "How are you holding up?" 

Aditi: (questioning) "Do you know about Armaan's relationship with Priya?"

Aryan tries to explain that he came to know about it just a few days before, his confrontation with Armaan. However, Aditi, overwhelmed with emotions, reacts with anger. 

Aditi: (angry) "I trusted you, Aryan. You knew, and you didn't tell me?"

Aryan, realizing the depth of Aditi's feelings, takes her into his embrace, offering a sincere apology. 

Aryan: "I'm sorry, Aditi. I didn't want to hurt you." 

Aditi, composing herself, pulls away and states that she needs some time to gather her thoughts. She then shifts the conversation,

Aditi: "When are we going to make the engagement broken news public?"

Aryan: "Grandpa mentioned it will be announced in a day." 

Aditi, acknowledging the information, walks away, leaving Aryan to reflect on the complex dynamics and fractured relationships. He returns to his cabin.

As Aditi walks through the lobby of the Roy office building, a familiar face stops her in her tracks. It's Priya Sehgal. Priya attempts to explain and apologize for her role in the complex web of emotions. 

Priya: "Aditi, I'm sorry. I never intended for things to escalate like this." 

Aditi: "Why didn't you tell me the truth before?"

The conversation between Aditi and Priya unfolds, marked by a mix of emotions, accusations, and attempts at understanding the choices that led to the current turmoil. 

Meanwhile, in his cabin, Armaan receives a shocking message from an unknown number. The message sends shivers down his spine - "A sniper is ordered to kill your to-be-wife." Panicking at the thought of Priya being in danger, Armaan rushes out of his cabin knowing Priya might have reached their office as they intended to meet. Armaan's friend and a senior manager in the same office, Krish intercepts him. Armaan explains the potential threat to Priya's life. Krish joins Armaan and they rush towards the elevators.

Sensing the urgency, Krish quickly contacts Aryan, updating him on the potential danger Priya is facing. Aryan swiftly comes out of his cabin taking the next available elevator.
