CHAPTER - 5

Aryan decides to have a heart-to-heart conversation with his brother. He heads to Armaan's cabin, finding him immersed in work. 

Aryan: "Hey, Armaan. Can we talk for a moment?" 

Armaan: (looking up) "Sure, Aryan. What's on your mind?"

Aryan: "I had a chat with Aditi the other day. She's feeling a bit uneasy about things. Is everything okay between you two?" 

Armaan: (pauses) "All good, Aryan. Just caught up with work, you know how it is." 

Aryan: (nodding) "I get that, but Aditi seems genuinely concerned. Maybe you should talk to her and clear things up." 

As Aryan conveys Aditi's feelings, he notices a sudden shift in Armaan's demeanour. Just as they are about to delve into a deeper conversation, Armaan's phone rings, and Aryan sees the name "Priya" flashing on the screen. Armaan, excusing himself, steps out to take the call, leaving Aryan in a state of confusion. 

Aryan (to himself): Priya? Who is she? What's going on here?

As Aryan contemplates the situation, he can't shake the feeling that there might be more to Armaan's behaviour than meets the eye.

Aryan, determined to bridge the gap between Armaan and Aditi, continues his attempts to talk to his busy brother, but Armaan's schedule remains elusive. Meanwhile, Aryan maintains his friendship with Aditi through calls and messages, even arranging meetups with some of their school friends to lighten the atmosphere.

One evening, Aryan drops Aditi back home after a pleasant get-together with their friends. On the way, he notices Armaan's car parked outside a restaurant. A sense of curiosity takes over, and after dropping Aditi at her place, he decides to check the restaurant.

As he enters, he spots Armaan engrossed in conversation with a woman who looks oddly familiar. Trying to recall, his memory clicks. He had seen her at Avantika's wedding. The realization hits him, and Aryan observes the interaction between Armaan and the woman, wondering about the connection they share. He stands at a distance and observes Armaan and the woman. Armaan holds her hands on the table and the two of them share a warm embrace. Aryan's mind races, trying to comprehend the situation. He follows Armaan's car and witnesses him drop the woman off at an apartment complex.

He decided that a candid conversation with Armaan was essential to unravel the mystery and address the underlying issues. He sends a direct message to Armaan,

The message reads: "Armaan, we need to talk. Can we meet? It's important." 

Armaan agrees to meet at Aryan's private apartment. As Armaan arrives, the atmosphere is charged with tension and unanswered questions. Aryan, with a mix of concern and determination, opens the door.

Aryan: "Armaan, we need to talk. What's going on?"

Armaan: (acting casual) "What do you mean, Aryan? Everything's fine." 

Aryan: (skeptical) "Where are you coming from?" 

Armaan: "I met Mr. Mehra, our business partner, for dinner." 

Aryan: (shows the photo) "Really? Because this looks more like you having an intimate dinner with some woman." 

Armaan's expression shifts from casual to shock as he realizes he's been caught. Aryan doesn't hold back. 

Aryan: "Who is she, Armaan? And what are you doing with her?" 

Armaan takes a deep breath, realizing he can't hide the truth any longer.

Armaan: (confesses) "Her name is Priya Sehgal. She's Avantika's friend. We... we had a one-night stand during Avantika's wedding. After that, things got complicated. We had an on-and-off relationship. Due to some issues, we broke up a few months back, but we recently reconnected." 

Aryan: "So, she's your ex, and now you're back together?" 

Armaan: (hesitant) "Aryan, I met Priya again when I went on a date with Aditi. Our feelings resurfaced, and we reconciled."

Aryan: (angry) "You accepted the alliance with Aditi, and now you're telling me you never moved on from Priya? Are you playing with Aditi's feelings?" 

Armaan: (defensive) "Aryan, I thought I could move on. But when I saw Priya again, it became clear that I hadn't. I can't lead Aditi on." 

Aryan, unable to contain his frustration, grabs Armaan's collar, his anger evident. 

Aryan: "You can't just play with Aditi's life like this! This is not fair, Armaan!" 

Armaan: (pleading) "Aryan, today's dinner with Priya made me realize where my heart truly lies. I can't continue with this engagement. I will be honest with Aditi." 

Aryan, still fuming, demands a promise from his brother. 

Aryan: "You better tell the family about this mess you've created. Aditi doesn't deserve to be treated this way." 

Armaan: "I promise, Aryan. I will talk to the family as soon as possible. I never wanted to hurt anyone, but I can't ignore my feelings."

As the confrontation between the two brothers intensifies, the revelation sets the stage for the impending fallout, leaving the Roy and Rajan families to grapple with the consequences of Armaan's actions and the emotional turmoil that follows.
