CHAPTER - 9

The next morning, Armaan arrives at the hospital with Sharmila. Sensing the exhaustion in Aryan and Amarendra, they suggest they go back home, freshen up, and return later. Aryan and Amarendra reluctantly agree and leave the hospital for a short break. 

Upon their return, they anxiously wait for news of Aditi's consciousness. The doctor eventually delivers the relieving update that Aditi is awake. Amarendra rushes inside to see his daughter.

Amarendra: "Aditi, you're awake! How are you feeling, my dear?" 

Aditi: "Dad, I'm okay. Just a bit sore."

They share a warm moment, Amarendra holding Aditi's hand, grateful for her recovery. Amarendra steps out and notices Aryan waiting. He approaches the doctor and requests permission for one more visitor. The doctor agrees, and Amarendra invites Aryan to go inside and see Aditi. 

Aryan takes a seat beside her, 

Aryan: "Aditi, how are you feeling?"

Aditi: "Aryan, I'm alive. That's something." 

Aryan: "You had us all worried. How are you holding up?"

They engage in a small talk. Finally, Aryan leans down and kisses Aditi on the forehead. 

Aryan: "Take care, Aditi. Wishing you a speedy recovery." 

As Aryan steps out of the room, he notices a commotion near the ICU entrance. The police have arrived to investigate the gunshot incident.

Amarendra: "Officer, I'm Amarendra Rajan, Aditi's father." 

Police Officer: "We need a statement regarding the gunshot incident involving your daughter. Can you walk us through what happened?" 

Aryan steps in and explains the events leading to Aditi being shot. Armaan shows them the message he received.

Armaan: "This is the message I got just before the incident." 

Police Officer: (examining the message) "We'll investigate this matter thoroughly. It's essential for us to understand the context." 

As the days pass, Aditi shows steady signs of recovery, her strength gradually returning. Amidst this progress, the police return. 

Police Officer: "Mr. Rajan, we've made significant progress in the investigation. The sniper who targeted Aditi has been apprehended." 

Amarendra: (relieved) "Who's behind all this?" 

Police Officer: "It appears to be a revenge plot. The sniper was hired by someone named James Samuel with a vendetta against the Roy family."

Armaan, standing nearby, feels a knot tighten in his stomach. The realization hits him like a wave. 

Armaan: (with a heavy sigh) "James... It's from the business deal fallout we had earlier. He's seeking revenge on the Roy's." 

The gravity of the situation dawns upon them – Aditi was unwittingly caught in the crossfire of a business vendetta. The police assured him that James would be taken into custody and leave. Amarendra's anger and frustration grow. He turns to Armaan and Aryan,

Amarendra: "This mess is because of your family's business rivalry. I can't risk Aditi's safety any longer. Leave us alone." 

Armaan: "Mr. Rajan, we didn't intend for any of this to happen." 

Amarendra: (firmly) "Intentions don't change the reality. You've put my daughter's life at risk. Now, leave." 

The brothers attempt to plead their case. 

Amarendra: "Aryan, I respect you as Aditi's friend and blood donor. But Aditi's safety is my priority now. Our paths diverge here." 

With a heavy heart, Armaan and Aryan realize the severity of the situation. They leave the hospital. 

In the aftermath, Amarendra, prioritizing Aditi's safety, decides to relocate their business to the Mangalore branch. He takes Aditi back to their hometown, severing ties with the city that became a battleground for business rivalries.

The news of the broken engagement between the Rajans and Roys spread like wildfire after the gunshot incident involving Aditi. After a few months, Armaan married Priya. Aryan is still angry towards Armaan, as he believes that Armaan's delayed understanding of the ominous message had contributed to Aditi's unfortunate fate. 

As time passed, the once-close connection between Aryan and Aditi faded away.
