As the men headed out for the supply run, I kept busy with Carl, trying to keep my mind off the potential dangers they might face.

We collected firewood, checked on the water supply, and made sure everything was in order around the camp.

By midday, the sun was high, and the heat was intense.

Carl and I took a break under the shade of a large tree.

He was drawing in the dirt with a stick, his face scrunched up in concentration.

"Whatcha drawing, buddy?" I asked, leaning over to see.

"It's a map of our camp," he said proudly. "In case we get lost."

I smiled, ruffling his hair. "That's a great idea, Carl. You're always thinking ahead." I told him.

As the afternoon wore on, I noticed Andrea and Carol preparing lunch. I decided to help them, hoping to keep my mind occupied.

We chatted about trivial things, trying to maintain a sense of normalcy. Just as we were setting the food out, I heard the sound of a vehicle approaching.

My heart skipped a beat as I saw Rick,
Shane, and Glenn returning. They looked tired but unharmed, and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Rick caught my eye and gave me a reassuring nod. "We're back," he said, his voice steady. "And we got what we needed."

The camp buzzed with activity as everyone helped unload the supplies.

Despite the day's challenges, we had made it through, and for now, that was enough.

---

As the day wore on, i found myself needing some time alone to gather my thoughts.

I walked to a secluded part of the camp, taking deep breaths to calm my nerves.

Just as i was about to head back, I heard footsteps behind me.

Turning around, u saw Shane approaching. His expression was intense, and i could sense something was off.

"Aurora, we need to talk," He said, his voice low.

"Not now, Shane," I replied, trying to keep my voice steady. "I need to get back to the camp."

But Shane stepped closer, his demeanor becoming more insistent. "No, we need to talk now."

Feeling uncomfortable and unsafe, i took a step back. "Shane, I said not now."

Suddenly, Shane reached out, grabbing my arm. "rora, please just listen to me!"

Instinctively, I reacted and pulled my arm free and, with all my strength and pushing Shane away from me.

"Leave me alone, Shane!" I told him Without waiting for his response, i turned and ran back to the camp, my heart pounding i looked back but didn't see Shane.

When i reached the safety of the group, i took a moment to catch my breath, my mind racing with what had just happened.

I thought about telling Rick but decided against it for now.

The last thing the camp needed was more conflict. Instead, i resolved to keep my distance from Shane and focus on keeping my family safe.

After all that nighttime came and I took Carl back to bed got him into bed and covered him up.

I then went to my and Rick sleeping bag and got in and went to sleep.

-Next Morning-

When I woke up carl and Rick were still asleep so I quietly got up and changed my clothes.

I decided to wear a pair of grey sweatpants and a green hoodie and a white shoes, then done a low ponytail for my hair.
