Blanc couldn't calm herself down anymore. The gnawing anxiety in her chest had grown too strong to ignore. She shook her head, stepping out of Morgie's embrace, her eyes darting anxiously around the rainy landscape. Morgie, taken aback, watched her with confusion. "What's wrong?" he asked, his voice laced with concern as he watched her begin to pace in front of him.

"I have a bad feeling about this, Morgie," Blanc muttered, her mind racing with worry. She could feel something was off, something she couldn't quite place, but it was enough to unsettle her deeply. Morgie moved towards her, gently cupping her cheeks in his hands, trying to ground her in the moment.

"You don't have to worry so much. We can't do anything," he said softly, his eyes searching hers for reassurance. But Blanc's gaze was distant, her thoughts elsewhere.

Suddenly, determination hardened her features as an idea formed in her mind. "No, we maybe can't. But I can," she declared, stepping back with a newfound resolve. Morgie frowned, uncertainty flickering across his face. "What are you doing, Blanc?" he asked, his voice tinged with apprehension.

She sighed, feeling a sense of certainty in her decision despite the risks. "I'm sorry, Morgie, but I have to go look after them. You stay here, okay?" She turned to leave, but he quickly grabbed her hand, pulling her back towards him, his eyes wide with panic.

"You can't do that!" he insisted, his heart pounding in his chest. His eyes searched hers, desperate to find some reassurance, something that would tell him this wasn't as dangerous as it felt.

Blanc offered him a soft, bittersweet smile. She reached up, gently brushing her fingers across his cheek before leaning in close. Their lips met in a tender, lingering kiss, a moment that felt suspended in time. It was sweet, but tinged with the sadness of something final, as if they both sensed that this might be their last.

When they pulled away, their eyes locked, and Blanc's were beginning to glisten with unshed tears. She tried to hide them, forcing a brave smile, but the heaviness in her heart was unmistakable. "No matter what, I'll come back someday," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion.

It was her way of saying goodbye, a promise wrapped in uncertainty. Morgie held onto her hand for just a moment longer, as if he could keep her there by sheer will. But then, with a deep breath, she slipped away, turning and disappearing into the rain. He stood there, the kiss still warm on his lips, a sense of dread settling in his gut as he watched her go. Something wasn't right, but he couldn't put his finger on it, and the helplessness of that realization left him rooted to the spot, staring after her with a heavy heart.

The villains were frozen in place, their bodies locked in the last positions they had assumed before the blue smoke engulfed them. Uliana's tentacle was still outstretched toward the book, her fingers just inches away from it, while Hook stood beside her, his hand half-raised as if caught mid-gesture. Maleficent's lips were curled into a calculated smirk, now frozen in time, and Hades' usual nonchalance was betrayed by the rigid tension in his posture. The thick, glowing smoke swirled around them, its ethereal tendrils snaking through the air, trapping them in a strange, paralyzing grip.

"I can't move," Hook mumbled through his teeth, his voice strained with the discomfort of his predicament. His eyes darted around, the sharpness of his usual bravado dulled by the growing sense of unease. The feeling of being utterly helpless gnawed at him, an unsettling reminder of their miscalculation. How could they have forgotten that the book was enchanted? They knew better than to tamper with powerful magic without proper precautions.

This wasn't how it was supposed to go. The plan had been simple: convince Blanc to open the book, using her to bypass the defenses that they knew would be in place. They had counted on her innocence, her curiosity-anything to avoid dealing directly with the enchantments themselves. But in their impatience, their eagerness to seize what they believed was rightfully theirs, they had made a fatal mistake. Now, they were paying the price, their bodies rigid and their minds racing.
