Dinner has been great. We got to watch the sunset with great company. I don't want this perfect week to end. If anything, it makes me realize that I am right in my decisions. Taking the last sip of my whiskey, I sit the glass down and look over at my perfect girl laughing at something Paul said.

"Alright, ready for our nightly walk?" I stand and reach my hands out for Sage.

She grabs them and follows me out of the deck and down toward the boardwalk. She has heels on, of course she would. Kelsey is a miracle worker for finding her an outfit for tonight but I don't think she thought it completely through. I pick Sage up and set her on the railing.

"Let me get these for you. Can you image trying to walk in the sand in these?"

She lets out a little laugh and covers her mouth. She's had little to drink tonight. She's at the perfect stage of giggly and it's the cutest things to watch.

"Oh my gosh! It would be terrible, babe. I wouldn't make it far that's for sure."

I slide my hands up her thighs then around her waist pulling her towards me. I can't keep my hand off of her. She slightly rocks her hips and I pull back slightly and give her a stern look.

"Naughty girl, hurricane. Not yet. I want one last walk on the beach with you before we leave." I slap her ass and pull her off the railing.  We walk rest of the way to the water and walk in silence for a little while. Both of us content just the way we are.

My hands are a little sweaty and I'm starting to get some jitters. I can't believe that I'm about to make this huge leap for us. I know we're on the same page but we weren't for a long time. I was difficult and unruly. I made way too many decision for us without even thinking of Sage. It was selfish but I would never change it.

I stop us and pull my girl towards me and lean in for a kiss. As soon as our lips meet, the sparks explode like they always have. I hope we never lose this. It's the best feeling in the entire world. I pull back just enough to see the smile on her face and know that I'm about to change everything.

"Sage. When we first met, I was ruthless. I made demands that I should never have asked. I bossed you around. Forced you to work for me and quit your job but it was the best reckless decision that I've ever made. I was so scared. I walked away from you that first night because you made me feel things that I was scared of. You made me feel things that I hadn't felt in a really long time. I was so broken before you."

Sage places both her hands on my chest as I look into her baby blues.

"I don't want to be broken again. You make my life whole. That's why I don't want to spend one last second without you in it. I love you, Chase."

"I love you too, hurricane, so much."

I grab her hands and get down on one knee.

"Sage. The girl that loves manatees because they look like huge water puppies. The girl that is amazed by plankton that makes the water light up. The girl that is so strong and is able to get right back up when the waves knock you down, will you marry me?"

My beautiful girl has tears running down her cheeks and looks at me with so much love, covers her mouth and lets out a yelp before she runs right into my arms. I hardly have time to catch her without falling over. I think if I'd ruin this dress, Kelsey may actually murder me.

Sage's hands find my cheeks as she cradles them and leans in for a life altering kiss. A kiss that changes my whole life because when she pulls back, she does just that.

"Yes. I will marry you." It's the sweetest sound that I've ever heard. I can't wait for our forever.
