As the evening wore on, they laughed and talked, the conversation flowing effortlessly. Saraswati felt at ease, grateful for Theodore's supportive presence. Theodore parked his car near a secluded area, and they both enjoyed stargazing.

"It's so beautiful out here," Saraswati said softly, her eyes fixed on the twinkling sky. "I've never seen so many stars."

Theodore smiled, watching her face light up. "I thought you'd like it. There's something magical about the stars, isn't there?"

She nodded, her smile widening. "Yes, it's like they're telling a story. A story that's been written for centuries."

He turned to look at her, his heart swelling with affection. "I've always found comfort in the stars. They remind me that we're part of something bigger, something wondrous."

Saraswati glanced at him, her expression thoughtful. "You always know how to make me feel better, Theo. I'm so glad we met."

Theodore's chest tightened at her words. "I'm glad too, Saras. More than you know."

She leaned back, her gaze returning to the sky. "It's been such a long journey, but moments like this make it all worthwhile."

For a moment, they sat in comfortable silence, the only sound being the gentle rustling of leaves. Theodore's emotions were a tempest beneath his calm exterior, a mix of joy and longing that he struggled to contain.

"Saras," he began hesitantly, "have you ever felt like there's something you want to say, but you can't find the right words?"

She looked at him curiously. "Sometimes? Why do you ask?"

He hesitated, choosing his words carefully. "Because there are things I want to tell you, things I wish I could say. But I'm not sure how."

Her eyes softened with concern. "You can tell me anything, Theo. You know that."

He smiled, though it didn't reach his eyes. "I know. It's just... complicated."

Saraswati placed a comforting hand on his arm. "Whatever it is, I'm here for you."

Her touch sent a shiver down his spine, and he struggled to maintain his composure. "Thank you, Saras. That means a lot to me."

As they continued to stargaze, Theodore's gaze lingered on her, his eyes drinking in the sight of her with fervent intensity. In that moment, he felt a powerful urge to protect her, to be the person who brought joy and comfort to her life. The thought of her happiness was a beacon that guided his every action.

"Saraswati, there's something I've been meaning to ask," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

She turned to him, her eyes shining with curiosity. "What is it?"

He took a deep breath, steadying himself. "Would you like to come here again sometime? Just the two of us?"

Her smile was immediate and radiant. "I'd love that, Theodore."

His heart soared at her response, and he knew that, for now, being a part of her happiness—even as just a friend—was enough. "Then it's a date," he said, his voice warm with affection.

As the night grew darker, they continued to share stories and dreams, their bond growing stronger with each passing moment. For Theodore, the evening was bittersweet—a perfect night shadowed by the secret he kept locked away in his heart. Yet, he was content, knowing that, for now, he was a part of her happiness, even if only as a friend.

In his mind, a monologue unfolded, a silent declaration of his feelings.

Theodore's thoughts churned with intensity as he watched Saraswati gaze at the stars, her face illuminated by the soft glow of the night sky.
