Saraswati stood outside Theodore's office the next day, it took her whole night to talk Theodore anyhow and apologise, her heart heavy with a mix of regret and uncertainty. She had seen him walk away earlier, his focus entirely on something else, leaving her unnoticed. Embarrassment had welled up inside her, but she had forced herself to follow him, knowing she needed to make amends for her behaviour the other night.

She could still see the look of disappointment on his face when she had snapped at him, her own frustration spilling over into their conversation. It had been a long day, and she knew now that she had taken out her stress on him unfairly.

As she approached his office door, she noticed Principal Jason stepping out, looking somewhat preoccupied.

"Good morning, Principal Jason," Saraswati greeted him with a small bow, her voice respectful yet tinged with nervousness.

Jason looked up hostile, surprised to see her. "Ms. Iyer! What brings you here so early? Don't you have any class to attend?"

"I... I was hoping to speak with Mr. Theodore," she said, glancing towards the closed office door. "Is he available?"

Principal Jason frowned slightly, glancing at his watch. "Not again Ms. Iyer!" He felt how Saraswati got scholarship when she was imbecile to even understand that Mr. Theodore was not a random guy whom she could meet anytime. But he controlled himself.

"I'm afraid Mr. Theodore is quite busy this morning. We've been going over the details of a new scholarship program. I didn't mention you were waiting, thinking it might be better for him to focus on the task at hand."

"Oh," Saraswati murmured, trying to hide her disappointment. "I see. That makes sense. I don't want to be a bother."

Jason seemed to consider this for a moment before nodding.

"You're welcome to wait here, but it might be a while. Mr. Theodore is very particular about getting the costs right for this scholarship. He's been at it since early morning also I am managing everything so I need to be precise ."he smirked seeing Saraswati's fallen face.

Saraswati nodded, understanding his point. The scholarship program was undoubtedly important, and she didn't want to interrupt something so crucial.

"Thank you, Principal Jason," she said, her voice soft as she took a seat outside the office. The principal gave her a curt nod before walking away, leaving her alone with her thoughts.

As she waited, time seemed to stretch out, her mind wandering back to Theodore. She thought about how dedicated he was to his work, how every decision he made was measured and carefully considered. It wasn't surprising that he was so engrossed in the scholarship program—it was in his nature to ensure everything was perfect.

The door finally opened, and Theodore emerged, looking slightly weary but determined. He hadn't noticed her yet, still deep in thought.

"Mr. Theodore," Principal Jason's voice called out from down the hall, prompting Theodore to turn.

"Yes, Mr. Jason?" Theodore responded, his tone businesslike.

"I've reviewed the figures you provided. The budget for the new scholarship program seems feasible, but we'll need to adjust some allocations if we're to keep the costs within the approved limits."

Theodore nodded, his expression serious. "I anticipated that. We can reallocate some of the general funds, but we'll need to get final approval from the board. I'll draft the proposal and send it over for review. We can't afford any delays if we want this program up and running by the next academic year."
