Saraswati stood outside the imposing structure of the best agricultural and science laboratory in California, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. She had dreamed of this moment, the chance to work in a world-class facility, and it was finally here. Taking a deep breath, she walked through the grand entrance, her eyes wide as she took in the sleek, modern design and the bustling activity within.

A tall, well-dressed man approached her with a warm smile. "Ms. Iyer?"

"Yes!" She replied courteously

"Welcome to Agritech Innovations. We're thrilled to have you here," he said, extending his hand.

"Thank you," Saraswati replied, shaking his hand, her voice tinged with awe. "It's an honor to be here."

"Please, follow me. Your induction with the Lab Team will be soon but first your meeting with the MD of this reputed Laboratory."

"Sure, After you."

"This lab is in the remembrance of his grandfather who was a great scientist. It took seven years to get this laboratory deemed the best in all of America. There are many sections, Medical, FOrensic and Agricultural units. Even many investigation bureaucrats trust this lab for their sensitive and confidential case reports. Both are different, I must say you are very fortunate who selected by the team of best researcher.''

"I am blessed Sir."

"Oh please call me Henry. I am from the administrative department. You are so beautiful Ms. Iyer."Saraswati blushed while listening to Henry who was a tall and handsome greek god but not like Theodore, her sudden thoughts made curse herself.

"The owner is eager to meet you," Henry said while gazing at the Asian beauty, leading her through a series of corridors.

As they approached a large office, Saraswati's heart pounded with anticipation. Henry opened the door, and to her utter shock, she saw Theodore standing behind the desk, his familiar smile greeting her. But his smile vanished when he noticed ehr red cheeks and smiling Henry behind.

"You may leave Henry." he cautioned, giving clues to him to leave. Henry nodded and scurried away but not before glancing at Saraswati which made Theodore clench his fist.

"Theodore?" she gasped, her eyes wide with surprise. "You're the owner?"

Theodore nodded, thinking about dealing with Henry later he acted , his smile unwavering. "Yes, Saras. Welcome to Agritech Innovations."

She felt a rush of emotions—surprise, confusion, and a sting of betrayal. "Why didn't you tell me?" she demanded, her voice rising with each word. "All this time, you never mentioned that you own this lab!"

Theodore's smile faded slightly as he stepped around the desk to stand before her. "Saras, please, let me explain."

"Last evening I was discussing about and giving treat about my selection in this lab. Why didn't you tell me? Or you are behind my selection?"she was agitated, for some reason Theodore was delighted but her frowns made him serious

"No! You are taking it wrong, Saras. I will tell you but first have this water." he offered , she took it and emptied it in one go.

She crossed her arms, her expression hardening. "Explain? How could you keep something like this from me? I thought we were friends."

"We are friends, SARAS!" Theodore said calmly. "And that's exactly why I didn't tell you. I wanted you to succeed on your own merits, without any preconceived notions or biases. I wanted you to get this opportunity because you deserved it, not because of our friendship. Second it's my Grand Dad's remembrance and my hard work to get it on the highest peak, i will not play with it. Third was personal as I thought you would be surprised and happy to see me here and praise me but it affects totally the opposite. "Theodore said looking down, making Saraswati scold herself to not think of the other side.

What have I done? I blamed him for nothing. Stupid! Stupid Saraswati.

"Are you telling the truth Theo?"she asked looking at his eyes with pout making him chuckle and awe internally

How naive is she? Jesus! I can't let her ;I'm alone in this wolf's world. She is too innocent for it.

"I have no reason to lie Saras, and to you ofcourse not."

Saraswati's anger wavered, but she held onto her frustration. "But you should have trusted me with the truth. I would have understood."

Theodore sighed, his eyes earnest. "I do trust you, Saras. That's why I wanted you to come here without knowing who owned the lab. I didn't want our friendship to influence your decision or your experience. You got this position because you're brilliant and hardworking, not because you know me."

She looked at him, her anger slowly melting into understanding. "You really believe that?"

"I do," he said firmly. "And now that you're here, I want you to have the best possible experience, without any shadows hanging over us."

Saraswati took a deep breath, her shoulders relaxing. "I understand, Theodore. It's just... it was a shock. I felt like you were hiding something important from me."

"I know," he admitted, his voice gentle. "And I'm sorry for that. But please believe me when I say that my intentions were good. I wanted you to feel proud of your achievements, and you should be. You've earned your place here."

She nodded slowly, the last of her anger dissipating. "Alright. I believe you."

Theodore's smile returned, relief evident in his eyes. "Thank you, Saras. Now, let's get you settled in and introduce you to the team. We've got a lot of exciting work ahead."

As they walked through the lab, Saraswati felt a new sense of purpose. The initial shock and betrayal had faded, replaced by a renewed determination. She realized that Theodore's secrecy had come from a place of respect and admiration for her abilities. And now, with their friendship intact and her place at Agritech Innovations secured, she was ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.

Together, they entered the main lab, where a team of scientists and researchers awaited her arrival. Theodore introduced her, highlighting her impressive background and the passion she brought to her work.

As she met her new colleagues, Saraswati felt a surge of excitement. This was the beginning of a new chapter, one where she could truly make a difference, supported by friends who believed in her potential.

Theodore's obsession with Saraswati was a dark, consuming fire. He manipulated every encounter, weaving lies to keep her close. In his solitude, he would whisper to himself, "She has no idea how perfect this is. Every move she makes is mine to control. She will come to realize that she belongs to me and only me."

His eyes would gleam with a sinister light as he recalled his favorite line: "You're safe here with me," he would say, his smile not reaching the darkness in his eyes, "I'll protect you from everything...except ME Petal!."
