The base came into view, a stark contrast to the serene park we had just left. Inside, the rest of the team was gathered, their laughter and chatter filling the air. I could see the camaraderie, but tonight it felt overwhelming, too loud, too bright. I hesitated at the entrance, feeling Ghost's eyes on me.

"Looks like everyone's having a good time," he said, his voice low and calm.

"Yeah," | replied, trying to muster enthusiasm. But the truth was, I felt drained, not ready to join in.

Ghost seemed to sense my hesitation.
"You know, it sounds dumb, but how about we go see a movie instead? It's late, but whatever, right?"

I looked at him, surprised by the suggestion. The idea of slipping away, just the two of us, was appealing.
"Yeah, I mean, why not?"

We turned around and headed back to the car. The drive was quiet at first, the city's lights passing by in a blur. I was lost in my thoughts when I felt Ghost's hand on my inner thigh. My breath hitched as he gave it a gentle squeeze.
The touch was intimate, sending a rush of warmth through me.

He kept his hand there the entire ride, his thumb occasionally rubbing small circles that made it hard to concentrate on anything else. I stole glances at him, but his eyes were on the road, his expression unreadable.

We arrived at the theater, the marquee glowing softly in the night. There weren't many people around, given the late hour. We bought our tickets and found our seats in the dimly lit auditorium. The previews had just started, casting flickering light across our faces.

As the movie began, Ghost's hand found its way back to my leg. This time, his touch was more insistent, creeping higher toward my crotch. I could feel myself getting hard, my body responding to the slow, deliberate pressure of his fingers.

I placed my hand on top of his, my thumb gently tracing patterns over his skin. It was a silent acknowledgment of the connection we were both feeling, a way to say that I wanted this too.

We sat like that for a while, the movie playing on the screen but neither of us really paying attention. The tension between us was electric, each touch and squeeze sending jolts of heat through me. I felt like I was on the edge of something, a precipice we were both teetering on.

After what felt like an eternity, Ghost leaned in close, his breath warm against my ear. "Do you want to leave?" he whispered.

"Yeah," | replied, my voice a little shaky.
"It's getting boring."
We left the theater, the cold night air hitting us as we stepped outside. The drive back to the base was silent, but the air was thick with unspoken words and lingering touches. Ghost's hand remained on my thigh, a constant reminder of the tension simmering between us.

When we finally arrived back at the base, it was late-very late. The place was quiet, the team all asleep. The silence was a stark contrast to the noise and laughter we had left behind earlier.

We stood by the car for a moment, the reality of the day settling in around us. I looked at Ghost, his face illuminated by the soft glow of the overhead lights.

There was something in his eyes, something that mirrored the tumult of emotions I was feeling.
