Your nerves had you up bright and early the next morning, mentally steeling yourself for your first day of teaching. It wasn't exactly like you were nervous about the teaching part, it was more that if you made one person hate you in such a small school, your job would quickly become not very fun. The students you had met the previous day seemed nice enough, so you were hopeful.

Looking in the mirror, you hurried to fix any minor details of your appearance. You'd have to admit the teacher's uniform looked a little bit silly on you, but at least you wouldn't stand out. You did your best to make yourself look as presentable as possible and hurried out the door. It was even more important that you weren't late this time.

You arrived at the school about an hour early, wanting time to prepare and make sure everything was in order for your lessons. The principal had briefly greeted you when you arrived, but he was the only person you saw before you hurried to your classroom.

Upon arriving at the door of your classroom, you noticed something odd; the light of the room next door was on. Your brow furrowed, thinking back to the previous day. From what Yaga had said you had assumed your annoying "co-teacher" was the type to always be late, so what would he be doing here so early in the morning? Wasn't his training with the students in the afternoon anyways?

'Maybe it's someone else,' you thought to yourself as you tried to quietly unlock your classroom and sneak inside without him noticing, silently pleading with yourself that he hadn't heard you. You weren't sure you'd had enough coffee to deal with that man's energy this early in the morning.

Unfortunately, you were out of luck as the door next door to yours banged open loudly. A bang like that? Definitely wasn't someone else using his room. You cursed silently to yourself then forced a grim smile on your face as you turned to face him.

"Good morning!" A now familiar blindfolded head peaked its way through the door, his voice way too energetic for the hour in the morning that it was.

"Good morning," You echoed politely, trying to stop your foot from impatiently. As much as Gojo irritated you, you didn't really want to be on his bad side either, "How come you're here so early?"

He came and leaned against the doorframe, crossing his arms, "I was here working on something last night and just finished up so I figured I'd wait to see if our favorite newest member of staff needed anything!" he was smiling and talking nonchalantly as if this was a typical day for him.

"Aren't you tired then?" The least you could do was humor his small talk.

He shrugged, humming softly as if he was buzzing with energy, "I don't sleep much," He said simply.

What an odd guy. You just nodded in response, "Well thank you, but I think I'm okay," You set your stuff down on your desk, starting to take papers out. You had hoped that would get rid of him, but of course you still had no luck as he invited himself in, sitting in a desk chair with his legs obnoxiously crossed on the desk. What was he, a 15 year old delinquent? It looked a bit awkward with his long limbs.

You sighed and just decided to ignore him, continuing to set up your lessons.

"Have you seen this?"

Jeez, this guy was annoying. You turn and see him holding his phone up, some silly video playing. You had actual work to do, but you push down your boiling annoyance, "No," You replied curtly, "I don't use my phone much."

"Hm. So why'd you leave?" He changed subjects so fast, barely minding your original response.

"Huh?" You frowned, leaning against your desk as you finally gave him your full attention, "Leave what?"

"You know, sorcerers and stuff."

Even without seeing his eyes, you could tell his atmosphere had shifted slightly. You weren't stupid, and it suddenly dawned on you that he wasn't either. Regardless of what he said before, he had come here that morning for a reason. But why did he care why you left?

You frowned and responded, "It's personal." It wasn't really a big deal, but until you found out why he wanted to know, you decided you should keep an air of secrecy.

"Okay!" Even with his slightly changed tone, his smile didn't falter. He dramatically swung his legs off the desk, "Would you look at the time?" He dramatically pulled out his phone, "Gotta run. Good luck with the kiddos, you'll love them." With that, he was gone in a flash.

Your frown grew deeper as you watched him leave. What was that all about? Him running like that immediately after asking only confirmed your suspicions that that was the true reason he was lurking around so early. You barely got time to think about it before you realized you were running out of time. The whole weird interaction slipped your mind as you quickly finished preparing.

In what seemed like no time at all, a pink haired head peaked into the still open doorway, "Hi sensei, is it okay if we come in?" Yuuji asked politely.

You turned from your spot at the desk and smiled warmly; What a sweet kid. You noticed the other two students hovering behind him, looking tired and a little skeptical, "Come on in."

The lesson passed uneventfully, and it was nice to see each of the student's personalities shine through. It was obvious they were trying to be respectful, but kept bickering like children. Maybe other teachers would frown at the distraction, but you welcomed the warm happy feeling of youth the students were creating. It was unusual for you to teach so few kids, but it meant you got to know each one of them quickly and what they each needed help with.

By the end of your class, it seemed the students had taken a liking to you, and they weren't too miserable having to do basic classes.

"I know it may not be as exciting as your usual training," You finished up your lecture, starting to wipe the blackboard, "But thank you for bearing with me. I'll see you all tomorrow."

The students quickly thanked you and gathered their things, talking quietly between themselves.

"Finally a normal teacher," You heard Megumi mutter, making you suppress a smile.

"Hey, I like Gojo," Yuuji pouted.

"Of course you would," You barely saw Megumi suppress a smile as they all walked out, and that's the last you heard of their conversation.

You finally smiled as you cleaned your supplies up, the students had made you forget entirely about your odd interaction with your unusual white haired annoyance that morning. Maybe teaching here wouldn't be so bad.
