The young Ababwa girl was rushing through the halls of Auradon, bumped into students as she rushed to meet with Ben outside the school.

Today was the day the VK's were meant to arrive, and Ben asked Kali if she would be there to help show them around. Though she overslept.

"Kali! There you are." The young prince called out to his best friend as she made her way down the stairs. "Sorry Ben, got a little tied up." She apologized scratching her neck. Truth is Kali overslept from staying up all night watching the entire Chucky series. Now she remembers why dolls are only funny in movies.

Ben put an arm around her shoulder. "This is Kali. She's gonna help you with your class schedules and show you the rest of the dorms." Kali flashes a smile at her best friend as he moves to talk to the girl in front. 'So that's the girl Ben saw.'

Though Kali's brows arch, watching how her best friend interacts with her making the girl grin to herself. She was definitely going to tease him about it later. "And if there is anything you need, feel free to..."

"Ask Kali." Audrey, Ben's girlfriend cut him off. Kali rolled her eyes at the girls fake tone. Why hadn't Ben just broken up with her already?

Audrey faked a forced laugh as well as Mal, the two girls sharing nothing but distain for the other in their eyes making Ben and Kali glance at each other before he chuckled nervously. Audrey pulled her best friend away making Kali sigh and shake her head at their relationship. If you can call it that.

Nonetheless, she turned to the four in front of her. "Well then, nice to meet you guys. I'm the genie's daughter. As in Jasmine and Aladdin...." Her words trailed off as her dark cognac eyes met light, amber brown.

Ever feel like the whole world just fades around you by the mere sight of someone? That is the only feeling Kali could describe right now. Her mouth opened and closed as she went to speak but no words came out. For once in her life, Kali Ababwa was speechless.

Evie smirked, walking closer to the young genie. "Evie. Evil Queen's daughter." Her eyes lingering on Kali.

Kali's lips slowly curled into a small smirk. "Welcome to Auradon, princess." Her tone low and smooth as she gave a slight bow. Mal's eyes switched between the two, watching the interaction with a small smirk of her own.

Kali cleared her throat, snapping her fingers to make the clipboard Fairy Godmother had given her appear. "Anyways, about your classes. I put in the requirements already. History of Woodsmen and Pirates, Safety Rules for the Internet and Remedial Goodness 101." She listed feeling Mal's eyes over her shoulder.

Mal scoffed as she ate a piece of candy. "Let me guess........New class?" Kali smiled sadly as she saw Mal's eyes dim. When Fairy Godmother told her of the class that the four would be taking, she thought it was a bit of a stretch. Just do what would seem less fun.

As quickly as it left, the little glint of mischief in Mal's eyes came back making Kali chuckle to herself. "Come on guys, let's go find our dorms." The other three follow Mal as she walks up the stairs behind them making Kali snicker. "Your dorms are that way guys." Pointing to the other set of stairs.

They walked in the direction in which she pointed. Evie briefly stealing a glance at the slightly taller girl as they passed by. Once they were out of view Kali sighed, her fingers treading through her curls.

'This year will be interesting.'

-----------------

Soft music played through Kali's headphones, her TV sounding with her favorite hyper fixation game. Once she'd gotten back to her room, she changed into a white shirt and joggers since she didn't have any classes for the rest of the day.

Advantages of your father having lived through some of the events in time.

Her door opened only for her one of her close friends and daughter of Tiana and Naveen, Nevaeh. She was younger than most of the kids at Auradon, but that never stopped her from being the smartest person in the room. She was also in the same grade as Kali and Ben.

The younger girl sees her best friend on her bed, headphones on and attention only god knows where. A small grin pulls at her lips as she walked up behind the young genie and put a hand on her shoulder making Kali recoil. "The hell?!" Nevaeh laughed seeing her friend nearly fall of the bed.

"Do you ever knock?" Kali asked, pulling her headphones down to rest on her neck. Nevaeh shrugged. "Only when I know you'll answer." She plopped down on the genie's bed. Kali rolled her eyes w

It was a regular assurance for Nevaeh to come to Kali's dorm. She'd even stop by in the castle if she didn't find her in the dorm. "Meet the new kids?" Nevaeh asked grabbing the other controller from the nightstand. Kali nodded. "Honestly, they're all really chill.  Audrey, of course started something with one of them."

It wouldn't be the first time Audrey's done it. The first time was actually with Kali. She'd try making fun of the fact that her father was nothing more than a genie meant to fulfill other people's wishes but never his own. Though that ended when Nevaeh threated to tell Ben about the other princes she'd been flirting with. Sucks to suck.

"Any of 'em cute?" Kali looked blankly at the girl who just shrugged. "It's a valid question. You know most of the royals here are too prissy for me. I know they are for you too."

She had a point. Kali didn't date any of the royals who went here for two reasons: One, Kali was a Genie, a being with cosmic powers that could grant wishes unto anyone with just the snap of her finger. Anyone would take advantage of it. Two, the last relationship she was in had parts involved with her first reason and when the breakup happened, it didn't end well.

Heat rose from Kali's neck to the very tips of her ears. Nevaeh grinned smugly seeing the young genie's face heat.

"Kali's got a crush." Nevaeh teased in a singsong tone, Kali pushing her face back. "Fuck you."

"Love you too, sunshine."
