Luna (Atlanticas)"Excuse me! Excuse me! I just happened to hear your conversation!"
I'm walking through the streets of Plantis with my newfound friend, Fharan. I'm both lucky and surprised to have him with me, representing Wingstale. None of the other citizens seemed to really care about my idea, or me in general. But he stepped up, and though his positivity is often overwhelming, it's also a bit contagious.
Infact, I had trouble hiding my evergrowing grin the moment we walked into Plantis' government building to speak with the president. There was something bubbling in the pit of my gut, but it wasn't something bad. Infact, it left a smile on my face and a glimmer in my eye. Fharan and I both had a good feeling about talking to Plantis' president. We'd tell him of what my idea was, warn him of the scams that threaten the people of power in Eternity, and then ask him to join us to travel to the other districts. He'd agree, and then happy ever after!
Normally I wouldn't raise my hopes so high, but after getting a representative from Wingstale with me, my enthusiasm was hard to contain. Sadly, I was quickly deflated when we actually spoke with the president. Though he was grateful we had come to him, and fully supported my idea, he just couldn't leave his district with everything going on. He'd told us we could find a representative for his district, like we'd done for Wingstale, but wasn't planning on leaving Plantis anytime soon.
Walking through the streets of an empty Plantis, I listened to Fharan blab on about the unfairness of our predicament, considering we both had no relations to anyone in the flower district and had no idea who our representative would be. I kept my gaze glued to the floor, my thoughts not properly computing in my fried brain.
I was awokened from my trance at the sound of shoes jogging our way on the smooth pavement, as well as a deep voice shouting our way.
"Excuse me! Excuse me! I just happened to hear your conversation!"
Fharan and I both turn around at that, only to see a boy running our way. We both exchange a wary glance as the boy approaches us, taking a second to catch his breath before speaking, resting his hands on his knees as he greedily takes in air. My eyes linger on him, analyzing his appearance. He had black hair swayed to the side, yellow pupils with little pink petals at the side, indicating he was from Plantis. He wore an orange shirt with grey jeans, a chain hanging from his pocket, as well as what looked like a necklace of a cactus. Not to mention the yellow and pink flowers that dotted his pale skin.
"So- ha- sorry!" he says, still panting heavily after every word. "I just happened to, ha- overhear your conversation, your- uh- majesty!" With that he arches his back into a bow, hand pressed against his stomach.
"Is that so?" I ask quizzically, placing my hands on my hips. Fharan shoots me a glare for the underlying hostility hidden in my words. I sigh.
The boy stops bowing and faces the two of us, a sorry expression painted on his face, "I know that sounds bad, but I think I can help you."
I raise a brow as sparkles begin to glitter in Fharan's hopeful eyes, "Really? You can?"
The boy gives us a smile, though it looks more like a smirk, before nodding, "Yes, I can. You need a representative from Plantis, and I'm here to volunteer myself."
"Exactly how much did you happen to overhear?" I ask, my gaze unwavering.
"Not a lot, just something about the president, needing a Plantis representative, traveling to other districts. But that's all I need to know to volunteer! I need to get out of this district, and I wanna help." he rambles, though his tone staying nonchalant.
