The twins went into the room where Jude was staying and saw that the room was empty, making them confused. They went into the room where Viktor and Harlon were and the twins were next to their friend as Jude watched them, sitting on the pillow that was on the floor.
Lilith sat next to Jude as Landon went towards the twins. "What are you listening to?" Viktor asked Harlan, who unplugged his headphones and took them off, "Wind. The sound it makes blowing through a field of corn. Tractor half a mile away. And horses Mustangs mostly. One palomino. It sounds like--"
"Home." Viktor said what the rest were thinking.
"Yeah."
"Yeah, I remember."
The twins smiled as Jude spoke up, "I miss living in the countryside."
"You and your mom lived there?" Lilith asked as he nodded.
"We did too." The twins spoke up as Jude smiled at them. The three of them and Landon turned to Lilith, who slightly shrugged, "When I was in the academy and would think about getting old and the future, my first thought was moving out into the countryside." She said as she and Landon shared a small smile as they both had the same idea.
"What do you think would have happened if I had stayed?" Landon asked his twins.
"We would've moved together and--things would be liked how they used to. With Phillip. And you would've helped us with our powers." Atticus answered.
Aurora nodded, turning back to her dad, "But you would have been living with regret. Away from your siblings. Lily." She brought up as Lilith watched them, holding Jude who leaned against her, "You would've been depressed Dad." Aurora sadly said as Landon stayed silent.
Lilith then heard Harlan's response, "--but we never tried together. I bet we could get it right this time."
"You guys can do it." They turned to Lilith as she looked back at Viktor, "You need to do it."
Viktor nodded, "There's still time." Lilith agreed.
"What about us?" The twins asked.
Lilith shared a look with Landon as he sighed, "We can't get rid of them. You two were born with them."
"Isn't there any way?" They asked turning to Lilith.
Lilith stayed quiet for a moment, but then shook her head. "I'm sorry."
Landon turned to his kids, "I'm so sorry-"
"It's okay dad." Aurora told him with a sad smile.
"It's what we were born with. We can't change them." Atticus spoke up, "We have to adapt to them. And accept whatever happens."
