Teen Romance (Toge Inumaki X Reader)

Your first class of the day was Jujutsu History. You were sitting at the desk closest to the door and Inumaki was sitting next to you. Both of you were very bored. History was not your thing, especially early in the morning.

You looked at Inumaki who was trying not to fall asleep. You picked up your pen and scribbled the corner of his notebook. He looked down at the notebook and then at you.

"Tuna mayo?" he whispered.

"I'm bored." you whispered back not really sure what he was trying to say.

"Salmon." he nodded and pointed to himself, saying that he was bored too. Then he took his pen and scribbled a small part in your notebook.

You smiled and started drawing random things in his notebook as you got quite close to him, your shoulders touched and you had spun slightly in your chair and your legs touched too.

"What's our next class?" you asked eyes still at the notebook. Inumaki took the pen from your hand, making you gasp and look up at him, and then he wrote in his notebook 'combat'.

"Oh, right." you said disappointed. You weren't in the mood to fight anybody.

"You two, pay some attention here, would you? I'm teaching you important things that you'll need." the teacher banged on your desk, startling you two.

You quickly sat straight in your seat and shot a glance at Inumaki who nodded at the teacher.

"If I have to interrupt the lesson because of the two of you, one will sit on the other side of the room. Is that clear?" the teacher warned you.

"Yes, sir." you nodded.

"Salmon." Inumaki said at the same time.

Before the teacher could say anything else, the bell rang and you left the room with the speed of light. When you were on your way out to the training field Maki put her arm around your shoulder and Panda put his arm around Toge.

"Okay, so spill the beans. What's going on between the you of two?" Maki started questioning you.

"Nothing, we are friends." you explained trying to don't sound disappointed because you were just friends.

"Yea, right and you thought that I would believe you." Maki laughed.

"Caviar!" Inumaki scolded under his breath.

"What's that buddy? Someone's mad because their girlfriend called them just a friend?" Panda teased Toge.

"Bonito flakes! Bonito flakes!" Inumaki shook his head no. The tips of his ears got a slight red colour.

Luckily for you, you had reached the training field and the teacher told you to shut up and pick your weapons.

While you were warming up, you told Inumaki "If someday we have to fight against each other your cursed technique won't work on me because I fight with my headphones on and I won't hear you."

"Oh, salmon." he agreed with you.

"Alright, since Inumaki and (y/l/n) love to talk they will fight first." the teacher tossed you a sword and tossed Toge a spear "Show me the best you got." he said and walked a few steps back for safety reasons.

You stood numb and stared at Inumaki. Neither of you wanted to fight the other, even if it was just for training. The teacher scolded you to start fighting now, as you didn't have much time.

Inumaki shrugged and looked at you with a pitiful, helpless look. You smiled at him and took your stance. You stood still for a few seconds, waiting for the other to attack first, and when you realised that he would not make the first blow, you attacked him.

You didn't give your all. You attacked him with easily predictable blows so as not to hurt him unintentionally. On the other hand, Inumaki had only focused on defense, he wasn't going to attack you.

"Inumaki, don't be a coward and attack already. (y/l/n) you can do much more than that, give your all." the teacher shouted at you.

You started to do a little more complex attacks, but still didn't give your all. You really didn't want to fight your crush. Inumaki tripped you and just before you fell you grabbed him by the collar and he fell with you. You were trapped between the grass and Inumaki. You looked him in the eye and swallowed the lump that had formed in your throat. His purple eyes focused on your lips and after a few seconds focused on your eyes again. His fingers found the zipper of his collar, and before he could pull down the zipper, someone grabbed him by the shoulders and lifted him up.

"That's enough." the teacher said disappointed at you "Let's do group fights. Panda and Maki against our love birds here."

"We aren't," you began explaining yourself but you were cut short.

"Oh, come on I know what I saw. And if you haven't admitted your feelings yet that's not my problem." the teacher said and hurried you to your fighting stances.

You and Toge were as red as a tomato. But you were also angry because everyone wanted to be so included in your relationship that you hadn't discussed. You didn't even know if Toge liked you like that.

At the end of the class, you beat the opponents. Inumaki and you made a great team and it showed.  You fought as a team for the first time and managed to coordinate your attacks with just a glance.

When you were on your way to the building, Panda and Maki weren't as talkative as when you were going to training. Secretly you gave Toge a high five because you managed to make them shut up.

Nobara caught up with you and excitingly said "Tonight we're making a movie and games night in Yuji's room." she invited you and you all assured her that you would be there.
