The next day you decided to pretend like nothing had happened. You got ready for school as always, but today you put on makeup to cover up the dark circles under your eyes.

You went to breakfast and, as a habit, looked around the room for a figure with white hair. But you didn't see him. You didn't have much appetite, so you poured yourself a cup of coffee and sat down at the table in your usual place next to the Nobara.

You prayed that no one would mention yesterday night and to your surprise no one did. Everyone was busy talking about the missions they had been assigned to.

"And you, (y/n)?" Panda turned to you making you realise that you didn't have a mission, at least not one that you knew of.

"I don't know." you lifted up your shoulders.

"Uh, maybe Gojo will assign you a mission today." Maki joined the conversation.

"I guess." you said. The fact was that at the moment you didn't give a single fuck about the stupid missions. You wondered why Inumaki hadn't come to breakfast yet.

You went to the classroom for your first class and Toge still hadn't showed up. The teacher was talking about something, but you didn't listen to him, you were looking at one point on the board and thinking about your own things.

The first class was over, but there was no sing of Inumaki. You had started worrying about him. You went to the vending machines, took a coke and sat on a bench while waiting for the bell to ring for the next class. Maki came and sat down next to you. You didn't pay attention to her and kept staring at your feet.

"Inumaki said he was not feeling well and would miss school today. I think he got the flu or something." she let you know.

"Oh, okay." you immediately looked up at her after hearing his name. You tried to look as uninterested as possible.

All day long you thought about him and knew that he was not sick at all, but just did not want to see you. At the end of the school day, you decided to visit him. You owed him an explanation and you had decided to do it now.

You were on your way to Toge's room when Gojo stopped you. "Ah, you're exactly who I needed. Tomorrow you have a mission with Inumaki. Care to tell him?" you nodded and walked away. You were wondering how you were going to go on this mission tomorrow after what happened with Inumaki, you were sure it would be awkward, so today you had to fix things.

You waited for everyone to just go away, and when the hallway was clean, you went to Inumaki's room. For a few seconds you stood in front of the door, wondering if you should leave while you still could, but after a bit you finally knocked.

"Bonito flakes." Inumaki's voice was angry and it was clear that he didn't want to see anyone. Despite that fact you knocked again "Bonito flakes!" this time his voice was louder and irritated. You knocked again, you were stubborn. You were going to talk to him today and you wouldn't leave before you had the chance to.

"Caviar!" the door opened just as you had raised your hand to knock again. You quickly lowered your hand. In front of you was Inumaki, who was still in his pajamas. He looked angry and his eyes were red with purple circles underneath them. He had cried.

"I-uh. I came to see you. Maki told me that you weren't feeling well." you said shyly. Inumaki's gaze softened, but he still didn't invite you in his room.

"Also, tomorrow we are going on a mission together." you said looking down. You heard Inumaki sigh and you added "But if you want, I can talk to Gojo and get him to let me go alone."

"Okaka!" he shook his head no.

"Okay, see you tomorrow then." you smiled lightly and left.

When you returned to your room, you threw yourself on the bed. You felt stupid because you couldn't say what you wanted to and you were very sorry about it.
