"Wake up!" I awoke once more to the leader kicking at me. My drowsy eyes seen little at first then eventually regained their sight. "Uucp, she's up!" The leader said. So that's the accomplice's name... Uucp.
Uucp came up from behind the leader and gave me a horrid grin. he walked up closer to me, reminding me of both times he has now drugged me. I tried to scoot as far away as possible but something was restraining me. I looked down. "Wonderful"I thought. I was tied in every possible way I could be to keep me as restrained as possible. "No! Get away from me!!" I said. Uucp's smile faded. Until now I hadn't noticed my surroundings. Just like before there was countless rows of trees, but oddly, there was what looked like flowers. How could this be possible?! It was mid-winter in England, and it seems to be... be spring. Unfamiliar smells entered my body. They were sweet and damp, the kind id only heard of in bedtime stories. "What's your name wench?!" The words snapped me back into reality. "What?!!" I asked startled at Uucp's question . I was taken aback by his question, yet curious as to why he wanted to know. "What's your name!" He said, almost snarling at me. "Ryder Pierce..." I said almost in tears. I thought back to today's events... school, home, Viviana, they all seemed trivial to this. I let the tears fall freely, letting every emotion from today amplify.
"Why is she cryin' boss?!" Uucp said almost in shock. The leader turned around and started to walk my way. "Move you idiot" he said pushing Uucp out of the way. "Stop your crying, Lucian will think we beat you, and frankly he doesn't like it when people steal his job. So pull it together fae, he's almost here!
"Where am I?!!" I screamed violently, still crying and confused. "You my dear, are in Erindore." He chuckled, walking away. "Erindore?!" I screamed. "I need to focus on one thing" I tell myself. ok...
"I need to get away, and worry about where I am later" I told myself. I started to look around and just then, out of the corner of my eye I seen something. Of what I was unsure. Daylight was fading faster than I had ever seen and within moments it was dark, creating shadows of uncertainty everywhere I turned my head. I was trapped and I knew that for a fact. I closed my eyes and tried to block it all out.
Then I heard it. A loud noise and then two sudden drops. "Open your eyes." An unfamiliar voice quietly said. I did as told. In front of me stood the most handsome man I have ever seen. He had a mask over his face covering the bridge of his nose, barely concealing his identity. His black hair suited him well, showing off his unsettling green eyes.
He pulled out a small knife and started to cut away at my ropes. In a few seconds they broke free, and he grabbed my hand and pulled me up. "You need to trust me, " he said. I was so terrified that to my own surprise I complied, grateful that at least I was no longer restrained. He still had ahold of my hand when he turned around and started to run, me lagging behind him, weaving between trees and shadows. I could hear shouts behind us, and his speed picked up.
I finally thought I was brave enough to turn and look, and when I did I could have screamed. Men, men everywhere. They had what looked like blades of all kinds, and they were after us. I turned my head back around and tried my best to pick my speed up, my feet stumbling over loose branches and ground rubble. "That's Lucian's property! Get it back" One man yelled to the others. My breath was getting heavy and I was starting to think we were both going to die. A sharp pain hit my side, causing me to stumble a tad bit more than before.
After what seemed like ages of running we turned and I could feel him letting go of my hand and wrapping his hands around both my waist and my mouth to keep me from screaming and to hold me stable. "shh" he said picking me up and pulling me behind a tree. He moved his hand away from my mouth and turned me around to face him. he put a finger in forint of his lips signaling my silence, and then he pointed up to a nearby tree limb. "climb?!" I almost shouted, but was silenced by his hand once more over my mouth. " I told you shh! We need to climb." He said lacing his hands together like a step. "so climb!" I stepped into his hand and climbed to the nearby branch, him shortly behind me.
I pressed my back against the trunk of the tree, trying to stabilize myself. Right now was a bad time to be afraid of heights. "We will be safe here until dawn, Lucian's men can't climb, seeings how they are half-blind." he said. "that explains the eyes" I thought.
"Who are you?!" I sneered out of fear. "I am someone you can trust princess, my name is Sabashtin, but most call me Bash." the stranger, whom of which I can now call "Bash" said. "Princess?!!! Are you crazy??! I am no princess!" I yelled, surprisingly loud. "You have the wrong girl! I am no princess! I am just a screwed up girl from East London! Is everyone here crazy!?!" I yelled a bit louder this time. The shock on his face was priceless. "London?..." He said confused. He really didn't know...
"I'm sorry, I..." Before I could finish what I had to say the sharp pain was back and it had me to my knees. I grabbed my side, only to feel something warm coating the outside of my hands. "no.." Bash said, "They must have hit you when we ran... oh god no." The worry in his eyes were unmistakable. "Stay still princess," He said, grabbing me by my waist, pulling me closer to him. The same light as before appeared but this time in his hands, and then pain.Pain was all I felt. Then black.
