All I remember is running. To where I had no inclination. I just ran. Through the the door and into the society of East London. I stopped at a church I was semi-familiar with, collapsing to tears and ridicule.
Memories flooded my mind. A soft summer day, and my mum and dad had gotten me candy floss and the nearby carnival. We were walking, eventually stopping at the biggest sign I had ever seen. "Mistic de las luna" the sign read. I remember my father grabbing my hand and leading me into the mysterious building that rested next to the sign. As we entered I seen candles lined up from wall to wall, but no one else was there to survey the peculiar decorations. I turned to see my father, whom of which was now behind me. And to my dismay when I turned to see my mum, she was glowing speaking something I have never heard before, a type of language that seemed so foreign, yet so, so natural. The smell of candy floss and candy corn died as the once lit building disappeared and a white light replaced it, consuming all in its path.
I stirred back into reality, only to realize where I was and why. My emotions went dull with longing. I missed my parents... I got up and dusted the gravel and dirt off my stockings. My long, curly ,strawberry blonde hair fell across my face. When my real parents died, their best friend Mia had adopted me. She treated me good until the day cancer killed her, and her sister came to get me. Mia was nothing like Viviana. She was kind and soft hearted, unlike her sister whom was tall and chilled by hatred.
Just as I I got up and started to walk back to my school, something grabbed me, pulling me close and shushing me with their hands. "Shut up useless girl! Quit fighting!" Another voice came from behind me. "Blindfold her! Lucian will be proud of what we found." Footsteps came to my side and I struggled to break free from the rough grasp of whomever had me captive. Then my body fell limp and everything turned black. The last thing I thought was, I'm going to die.A/N:
