In Serene Sea~

All the mer-people, both those in the water and those who survived the attacks by vampires, had already got to know about the news of the former king's demise.

Shock and disbelief rippled through the underwater kingdom when they got to know about the passing of their former king.

The mer-people who survived the vampire attack also told everyone what happened and how their new king Jeon Jungkook was fighting with those blood sucking creatures all alone.

Jimin and his family also hurriedly arrived at the king's castle upon hearing the news.

They all anxiously waited for their new king's safe return, their hearts filled with worry and concern as they held onto hope for his triumph in the dangerous battle he had bravely engaged in.

But after one day, still with no sign of the king's return, Jimin consulted with the king's regent, Edric, expressing his concern.

Together, they decided that they must take action and send someone into the treacherous vampire territory to search for their missing king.

On the second day, Mingyu was sent by the mer-people in search of their missing king.

So now, Jimin, still processing the recent events, took a moment to gather his thoughts before speaking to Edric when they were alone in the hall of the castle.

"I've been so overwhelmed these past two days that I didn't have a chance to ask you," he began, his voice tinged with curiosity.

"But Edric, can I ask you something?"

Edric nodded and responded, "Yes, Your Highness. What did you wish to ask?"

Jimin's question hung in the air as he inquired, "Edric, would you mind telling me how our former king was poisoned?"

Edric appeared hesitant for a moment before responding, his voice tinged with sorrow.

"Before the king passed, he also attempted to tell this to Jungkook," he said, sighing heavily.

"Unfortunately, he didn't have the strength to finish his words."

Edric added, his tone solemn, "Please understand, it's not my place to disclose this, and the truth will come to light when the king returns from the vampire territory. Everyone will get to about it then."

Jimin let out a heavy sigh as he spoke, "yes i understand, don't worry."

"I just hope Jungkook will come back safely, I Know he can fight for himself but they are vampires, the most powerful vampire kingdom to be exact, so let's just wait for Jungkook."

Everyone present their widened their eyes hearing that that new merman adress their captive merman as 'Your Majesty'

The vampire King's eyes also widened in surprise, and he broke the deafening silence of the throne room to ask--

"What do you mean by 'Your Majesty'?"

Namjoon and Seokjin also rose from their seats, their expressions filled with astonishment as they fixed their gaze on the new merman.

Before the vampire king could question further, the captive merman spoke through gritted teeth, his words aimed at Mingyu.

"What are you doing here, Mingyu?"

Mingyu, overwhelmed by the situation and feeling utterly tense, struggled for a response, unsure of what to say. Fear filled his eyes, and it seemed as if he was frozen in place.
