Upon hearing Taehyung's word, both Seokjin and Namjoon's eyes narrowed in surprise.

The room fell into a tense silence as Seokjin and Namjoon exchanged glances, their minds processing Taehyung's word.

After a moment, Seokjin spoke up, breaking the silence, his voice filled with a mixture of disbelief and concern.

Seokjin questioned, his voice laced with confusion and concern, "What do you mean, Tae? Why are you asking us to leave?"

The room fell into a silence again,  Taehyung took a deep breath before finally answering, his voice tinged with a mixture of determination and resignation.

"It's for the best, hyung. You don't have to know everything." Taehyung spoke at last.

Namjoon, visibly struggling to maintain his composure, interjected firmly, his voice rising with frustrated, "Tae, you're testing my patience here. Do you understand how important it is for us to know about the being that marked you?"

Taehyung's face remained stoic and emotionless, his expression betraying nothing. He silently held Namjoon's gaze, refusing to provide a response.

Seokjin attempted to speak again, but he was interrupted by Taehyung, who spoke again, this time in a firm, commanding tone that left no room for argument.

"I said, leave."

Without further words, Seokjin and Namjoon exchanged a final look, both men slowly rising from their seats and quietly making their way towards the door.

Namjoon paused at the door, turning to face Taehyung before speaking in a firm voice, "We can't keep the merman king here without any valid reason. I will ask the guards to escort him to the Serene Sea tomorrow."

Taehyung's eyes widened at Namjoon's words, but he kept his gaze fixed on the big window, refusing to look in the direction of Namjoon and Seokjin. He remained silent, his expression inscrutable.

Namjoon and Seokjin exchanged a look, their concern for Taehyung's behavior evident. However, knowing that they had no choice, at least not now, they silently left the chamber, closing the door behind them.

After they left, he sat in the silence of his chamber, lost in his thoughts, battling the unknown emotions that overwhelmed him. His mind replaying the memories of his interactions with the merman king. The weight of the merman's piercing gaze, his touch, their intimate moments settled heavily upon him, further fueling his inner turmoil.

Taehyung's mind was overwhelmed as he thought about how to reveal everything to his kingdom, his hyungs, and Jungkook. He couldn't predict how they would react, and the uncertainty weighed heavily on him.

Frustrated, Taehyung closed his eyes and decided to ask Hoseok for more details about the situation.

Despite his uncertainty, one thing was abundantly clear to Taehyung - he needed to keep the merman king by his side to ensure his own survival.

But how would he persuade the higher-ranking vampires of head council, and how could he possibly make his hyung accept the situation? It seemed like an insurmountable challenge, and the pressure of it all weighed heavily on his shoulders.

Taehyung understood deep in his heart that there was no other way. The merman king had to stay in the castle, close to him. It was a necessity that he couldn't ignore or escape from.

He doesn't care about the merman king, his heart set on one goal only and that is- 'He have to survive' that's it.

Taehyung felt a sense of urgency to speak to the merman king as soon as possible, yet he knew he couldn't reveal the truth to Jungkook just yet. So, he decided to go to the dungeon to meet the merman king first.
