They went to the station where Hogwarts students were excitedly waiting for the train to take them to Hogsmeade.
"There they are!" Sirius bounded up to the trio.
"Where's my money, Black?" Y/n asked.
"Wha-what money?" He secretly slipped 15 galleons into y/n's bag.
She gave him an odd look before seeing James, the ginger girl, a brunette girl, and Remus walking over. Suddenly, it made sense why Sirius wanted her to wear brown. Remus was wearing jeans, a cream shirt, and a brown leather jacket.
"Wow, crazy that you two are matching," Sirius smirked.
    "Yeah, so crazy," James said.
"I don't even wanna know," Remus rolled his eyes.
"Hi! You must be y/n and Jin, I'm Marlene and we're gonna be best friends!" The brunette girl told y/n and Jin.
"Oh, uh, hi?" Y/n half laughed.
"Hi! I'm Lily," Lily said. "And we have so much to talk about,"
"C'mon ladies, the train's gonna leave!" Sirius called.
They started piling onto the train, finding an empty compartment for the short trip. Y/n slid down into the window seat, Remus right next to her and Marlene and Lily next to him. James and Regulus sat across from y/n and Remus with Sirius and Jin next to them. The train started and everyone began making conversation. Y/n watched as Jin and Regulus both shamelessly flirted with Sirius and James, which was greatly reciprocated.
Y/n pulled her sketchbook out of her satchel and began mindlessly drawing. She started drawing her animagus form but felt someone looking over her shoulder. It was Remus.
"That's really good," Remus commented when she looked up at him.
Their faces were inches apart and y/n could smell his cologne again, the same overwhelming scent from earlier. Remus opened his mouth to say something but was cut off.
"C-can I take a picture of you guys?" The voice asked.
It was a nervous Hufflepuff third year with a camera who y/n recognized as Alyssa Mardone. Everyone agreed and posed. Right before she took the photo, Remus slid his arm around y/n's shoulder, pulling her into his side. Y/n looked up at Remus with a smile before looking at the camera. The camera clicked and printed out enough copies for everyone.
Alyssa handed them out and everyone started laughing about how they looked. It was a moving photo and y/n grinned when she saw her and Remus. It started with y/n looking up at him before looking at the camera and Remus was looking at the camera at the beginning but then looked down at y/n with a grin.
"Guys, we all look so good!" Marlene cheered.
Y/n placed the photo in her satchel and noticed that Remus kept his arm around her shoulders. She pulled her sketchbook back out and continued to sketch. Remus watched over her shoulder, admiring her work.
"A Doberman pinscher?" Remus asked. "Is that why Sirius and James call you Pinch?"
    "Uhm, I guess? I honestly don't know," y/n lied.
"Well it's a really good drawing," he said. "Can you draw anything?"
"For the most part," y/n shrugged.
"Can I see some of your drawings?" He asked.
Y/n nodded, trying to remember which pages had werewolves in them. She flipped through her sketchbook, showing him each of the animals she'd sketched from her uncle's conservatory.
"So you really saw a peluda?" Remus asked.
"Mhm! That's how I got this scar right here," y/n pointed to a burn scar on her leg.
"How many scars do you have?" Remus joked.
"Uhm, I think twenty four?" Y/n thought. "No, twenty six,"
Remus looked down at her in shock.
    "No way, really?" He asked.
"Yeah, she once kept our friends up all night explaining each one," Regulus rolled his eyes.
"Must've been dreadful," James smirked before whispering something into Regulus' ear.
"Hey, that was last week!" Y/n huffed.
Everyone went back to their individual conversations and Remus leaned down to whisper something in y/n's ear.
"I wouldn't mind staying up all night hearing about them," he smirked.
Y/n almost shivered at his hot breath against her ear. She turned her head and looked up at him, his face being even closer than what'd made her nervous before. Y/n tried to appear confident and thought of a quick comeback.
"You sure you don't wanna tell me all about yours?" She smirked.
Before he could respond, the train stopped.
    "We're here!" Lily cheered.
They all piled off the train, deciding where to go first.
"Oooh, let's go to Honeydukes!" Marlene suggested.
"No way, we gotta get to Zonkos to stock up," Sirius said.
"I need to get some new quills and scrolls," Lily muttered.
"We need to get butterbeer too!" James said.
Y/n looked at Remus from across the group, missing his arm around her shoulders. It took her a while to loosen up and get used to it, since she wasn't necessarily familiar with physical affection. He smiled at her in return which Regulus noticed, shooting a raised eyebrow at y/n.
"Y/n, you decide. Where should we go first?" Lily asked her.
Y/n looked around at all of the people she was trying to please, not even remembering what they all wanted.
"Uhm, I guess Honeydukes?" She hoped they would all be happy.
Marlene jumped on her, attacking her in a hug. Y/n stiffened at the touch.
"I knew we were gonna be best friends!" She yelled.
She let go and started dragging y/n to Honeydukes, everyone laughing behind them. They entered Honeydukes and y/n took in the sweet smell of sweets. Everyone separated, getting what they wanted. Y/n immediately made her way to the chocolates, grabbing bars of milk chocolate and putting them in her basket. She spotted a new sweet called 'Chocolate Love' and grabbed a couple of them, planning on trying it later.
"Still on about milk chocolate, huh?" Remus approached her.
"You're one to talk," y/n gestured to his equally full basket of dark chocolate.
They both turned their heads when they heard a crash from the other side of the store. Regulus and Lily were cracking up at James, who had managed to spill things everywhere.
"Hey, crazy idea, but do you wanna maybe ditch them?" Remus asked.
"Ditch those crazy, somewhat dangerous bulls in a china shop?" Y/n fake gasped. "Yes please,"
Remus grinned as they walked up to the register, paying for both their items before leaving. When they were almost out the door, Marlene spotted them.
"Where are you two off to?" She waggled her eyebrows.
Another crash was heard and Remus just knew it was James.
    "Away from that," y/n joked.
"Well have fun you two," she smirked. "But everyone's gonna be pissed when they find you,"
"IF they find us," Remus said.
The pair left Honeydukes and began walking around Hogsmeade. Every couple of minutes, one of them would point out something in a window.
"Hey, wanna grab a butterbeer?" Y/n pointed to the Three Broomsticks.
    "With you? Always," he smirked.
Y/n rolled her eyes playfully as they entered the Three Broomsticks. Y/n went and found a table in the back while Remus ordered their butterbeers. Y/n smiled as Remus came over with two butterbeers in hand, placing one in front of her.
"It smells so good!" Y/n smiled.
Remus smiled at her, a childlike smile playing across his face. He wasn't quite sure what it was about y/n that he was so drawn to. Maybe it was her playful manner with him. Or the fact that she never seemed scared to tell him anything on her mind, but still somehow remained a more quiet person.
He hadn't noticed that she had taken out her sketchbook and started drawing him but when he tried to look down at her page, she grabbed his face gently and repositioned him to where he was before.
"Stay there," she said gently. "You were perfectly still before,"
Remus heated up at her comment. The way his face was positioned, he had clearly been staring at her and she'd caught him. Y/n quickly finished her sketch and looked down at it.
"Okay, you can move," she said, taking a sip of her butterbeer.
"Can I see it?" He asked.
"What? No way," she said. "It's horrible.
Remus didn't answer and instead quickly snatched her sketchbook. She tried to reach for it but it was no use since he'd already seen the picture.
"Holy shit. No way you drew this in like five minutes," Remus said.
"More like fifteen," y/n corrected him.
How long had he been staring?
Long enough for y/n to finish her butterbeer at least.
"You're really good at drawing," Remus said. "That looks just like me,"
"It's not my best work. The model just makes it look good," y/n giggled.
Remus flushed an even deeper shade of red which just made y/n laugh again.
"Hey, there's a bookstore I saw on our way here, wanna go pop in?" Y/n asked.
"Yeah, sure," Remus smiled at her.
They walked out of the Three Broomsticks and towards the bookstore when Remus spotted their group a couple of yards away. And a couple of stores behind them was y/n's brother and his two friends.
"Oh shit," he grabbed y/n's hand and pulled her into one of the thin alleyways, hiding behind a pile of boxes.
"Wha-" y/n got cut off by Remus' hand over her mouth.
"Don't freak out but your brother's here," he said. "And I don't think he's gonna be happy to see me with you. Or Regulus with James,"
Y/n peered out and saw the situation and immediately grabbed James and Regulus' arms, pulling them behind the spare boxes too.
"Geez, first y/n and Remus. Now Regulus and James. I guess everyone's ditching us to snog," Jin commented.
Once they passed by, y/n and Remus let go of James and Regulus.
"What was that for?" Regulus asked.
"Barty's here. So are Caius and Evan," y/n explained.
"Good to know. So where are we gonna go?" Regulus asked.
    "We?" Remus asked.
"Yeah it could be a double da-" James got cut off by Regulus.
"Well, we were gonna go to the bookstore but I don't think you read, so," Remus directed at James.
"Rude," James rolled his eyes. "We'll go,"
"Really?" Y/n looked at Regulus. "I mean, it probably will be a safe spot from Barty. I don't think he's read a book since he was ten,"
The group cautiously walked across Hogsmeade, towards the bookstore. They walked in and y/n looked around, giddy at all of the books. James and Remus immediately went upstairs to the seating area, y/n assumed to suck each other's faces off.
"Have you read this one?" Y/n picked a book off the shelf. "It's so good,"
"The Great Gatsby? Yeah, that's an American muggle book, how'd you know about it?" Remus asked.
"What? You think all pure bloods hate muggle things?" Y/n laughed. "Muggle books are the best literature,"
"Have you read this one?" Remus showed her Little Women. "I think you'd like it,"
"I haven't, I guess that's my first book of the trip,"
They showed each other book recommendations back and forth until they checked the whole downstairs floor.
"Should we head upstairs?" Y/n asked.
"Yeah, gotta stop James and Regulus from excessive pda," Remus joked.
They went upstairs and saw James and Regulus cuddled up on a been bag chair...reading?
"I think I might pass out," Remus joked. "James Potter reading a book?"
"Ha ha ha," James mocked. "We saved you guys the other bean bag,"
"Not very many people to save it from," Regulus commented. "And y/n, if you make one comment, I will kill you,"
    "Fine," y/n rolled her eyes.
Remus flopped down onto the bean bag, taking up all of it with his long limbs. Y/n looked at her friend, an eyebrow raised. She looked around the room for another spot to sit, so as to not make it as awkward but Remus stood up and pulled her down with him. She ended up practically on top of him, sitting on his lap. She looked at him and saw that his face was equally as red, obviously having not really understood what he was doing.
"S-sorry," he muttered before laying back.
    "It's fine," y/n let out a laugh.
She pulled out her book and took the opportunity to lean against Remus' body. Remus' body stiffened and he looked down at y/n. He was amazed how she'd been flustered just a second ago but now was so confident with making him flustered. They read in silence for a little bit until Remus couldn't get any reading done because of having y/n on his lap.
He started out slowly by playing with y/n's hair and commenting on what he'd quickly read from her book. But then he started looking down at the scar on her face. He traced it over a couple of times before getting curious. He took y/n's book from her and put it on the floor. He grabbed her face and turned it to see the scar.
"Remus, wha-" y/n started to say.
"This isn't from a Hippogriff," Remus' voice shook.
James looked up and locked eyes with y/n, terrified.
Remus slowly placed his fingers on the mark and retracted his hand immediately when he saw that they matched up. Y/n looked up at him, worry in her eyes, and memories from his last transformation flooded his brain.
Remus suddenly remembered everything. He saw the petrified look in the first year's eyes and the curious look in y/n's. He remembered y/n leading him back into the woods, away from the castle.
    And he remembered hurting her.
His claw dug deep into her cheek but it didn't stop there. Remus remembered clawing her across the stomach too.
    "Remus? What's wrong?" Y/n asked.
But based on her voice, Remus knew that she knew what was wrong. He grabbed the hem of y/n's shirt and lifted it just enough to see the claw marks on her stomach. He looked at y/n with horror written across his face. Y/n got off of him as he quickly stood up, pacing the room.
"Remus, dude, what're you doing?" James asked. "Reg, wait downstairs,"
Regulus, although curious, did as James told him and went to wait downstairs.
"So this is why you're all the sudden so accepting of y/n," Remus muttered to James. "Why wouldn't you tell me?"
"We didn't want you to think you hurt her!" James defended.
"But I did!" Remus yelled. "Do you see that scar? I did that!"
"It wasn't you," y/n cut in. "You had no control over it,"
"How do you know that?" Remus yelled. "I hurt you. And I could do it again,"
Y/n put her hand on Remus' shoulder but he whipped away, shaking her hand off.
"Don't touch me, I'm a monster," he cried.
"You're not a monster Remus," y/n stepped towards him.
He flung around again, this time knocking y/n to the ground by accident.
"This is why no one should know!" He turned to James. "You know I don't trust anyone with this! Why would you let her know? You should've led her away,"
"Remus, she knew what she was doing," James defended.
"That doesn't matter! I don't trust her to know!" Remus said, talking as though y/n wasn't there. "How do you know she won't tell everyone that I'm a monster? How do you know she hasn't already told anyone?"
    "Remus, stop-" James said.
"No! I won't stop! James, she wasn't supposed to know what a monster I am! Don't you get that I only tell people I know I can trust!?" Remus yelled. "She's a disgusting pureblood Slytherin! How can I trust that? She probably spread it to half the school already,"
"Y/n, get the fuck out of here. Go try and 'help' some other poor bloke because I don't need it," Remus put air quotes around 'help'.
"Y'know what Lupin," y/n halfway sobbed. "Stop pushing people away who care about you,"
Before Remus could comprehend the words that left his mouth, he looked and saw as y/n sprinted down the stairs, tears flying from her eyes.
"See, I already hurt her again, goddammit," Remus said. "No wonder I scared her,"
"Dude," James slapped Remus across the face and held him by the shoulders. "What the fuck did you just do?"
Remus came down from his angry rant and looked at James.
"She wasn't scared of you," James sat down with a sigh. "She didn't even bat a fucking eye when she saw that you were a fucking werewolf. She just cared about helping you. Werewolf form and human form. Why couldn't you fucking see that?"
    "What?" Remus blinked.
"We tried to lead her away but she was insistent on helping you, before she even knew it was you," James explained. "She even changed into her animagus, a Doberman pinscher, to help you. That's why we call her Pinch. Remus. She was with you all night, staying awake to protect you. And when you did change back into you. She covered you immediately and brought you to Madame Pomfrey,"
    Remus' mouth hung open slightly.
    Why did y/n help him?
"And like it or not, she knows, and she didn't give a flying fuck," James huffed. "She even gaslighted her roommate into thinking they saw a Hippogriff. Worst of all, we couldn't even be pissed at her when we came to the infirmary because she was so adamant that she didn't want you to feel uncomfortable,"
"She fucking cares about you more that anyone," James said. "Hell, she even applied the medicine on you,"
"She did?" Remus asked. "Why didn't she say anything?"
"Because she didn't want to force it out of you," James said. "She wanted you to trust her enough to tell her. But dude, you really just fucked up,"
Remus stared down at her satchel on the floor and picked it up, flipping through her sketchbook to find a recent werewolf sketch. On the top of the page it said 'Moony'.
Which meant, not only did she know he was a werewolf but she'd figured out he was the guy from the ball.
Remus read some of the other notes around the beautifully drawn sketch of him in werewolf form.
'Stronger and in better health than Einar'
    'Who was Einar?' Remus thought
    'Fun and playful'
    'VERY loud'
    'Safe'
A couple of other small notes were written too but the one that caught Remus' attention was written three times in the corner of the page:
    'He's Perfect'
    'Perfect'
    'Perfect'
"But if she's not scared of me," Remus started. "Why'd she run away?"
"Oh, my hopeless friend," James stood up. "She was hurt. After all, you did say that she was a 'disgusting pureblood Slytherin' and practically said that you expected her to spread it across the whole school by now,"
"What the fuck did I do?" Remus stared down at the drawing of him.
She managed to make him look beautiful. It was the first time he saw beauty in his werewolf form.
Meanwhile, y/n burst out of the bookstore, tears in her eyes, ignoring the looks from nearby people as she quietly cried and ignoring Regulus' yelling to her. She hugged her arms close to her body and walked as fast as she could. She wasn't sure where she was going until she knocked into someone.
"Sorry- oh, y/n?" It was Barty.
Y/n didn't hesitate to fall into her brother's arms as he hugged her tightly.
"Wha- y/n?" Evan's voice emerged. "Who the fuck did this?"
Y/n shook her head, signaling that she didn't want to talk about it and Barty let her fall into Evan's hug too. They took the long way to the castle, walking instead of the train and y/n crashed onto Barty's bed, falling asleep instantly while Barty, Caius, and Evan planned a murder for someone they didn't even know.
