Jaimie was standing on the porch of the Big House, looking out across the place she had called home for so long, as the last of Tony's cloaked jets took off.
It had only been twenty-four hours since Jaimie had placed that call to Tony, and only twenty since the campers had begun the massive task of packing up their entire lives and moving to the empty stretch of farmland Tony had secured on the east coast of Canada.
Jaimie had to admit, the location was actually pretty amazing. It was close enough to the American border not to be too much of an inconvenience, and very secluded.
It was in Nova Scotia, which meant it was near the coast. This was necessary, because as Camp was across a border and not all demigods had passports (or the time to go through a border crossing when they're being chased by a monster), the demigods were going to have to use the Argo III as a sort of taxi between the two countries when necessary. The Hermes cabin had taken on responsibility for setting up that system and building a schedule.
The first thing that the campers had done was pack up the Hecate Cabin and ship them off, where they met with an incredibly grumpy Mr. D, and then started to prepare the camp's new borders. They worked mostly on the concealment aspects of it, as the impenetrable monster wall was only possible with the magic of the golden fleece.
Tony had brought basically his whole fleet of flying vehicles (a surprising amount of them), and with the help of the Argo III, the pegasi, and the Roman flying eagles, they were able to start a mass evacuation of Camp with relative ease.
They were as covert as possible, and Jaimie was confident that with Tony's cloaking technology and the Mist, the Hydra camp set up no too far from Camp Half-Blood would remain unaware that they were relocating until the last people were to leave camp, taking the Golden Fleece with them.
The new location probably wouldn't feel like a home for awhile, but it was safer than staying where they were. The Greeks had learned from the Romans since the second Giant War, and Jaimie was confident in their ability to quickly set up a livable encampment, but the cabins and dining pavilion, and everything else would have to come with time.
She had some hope that the more kind-hearted gods would bless their kids with a magically built cabin, like she was sure her father would do. Likely Aphrodite as well, since the goddess of beauty would never have her brood sleeping in tents for that long. Gods forbid.
Either way, it was going to be a difficult few months for the campers, but it would be more difficult if Jaimie and the team didn't find a way to put an end to Hydra's plan.
She let out a sigh, leaning on her elbows against the bannister as she continued to stare. She heard soft footsteps behind her, but didn't bother to turn around to check who it was.
Bruce's arms wrapped gently around her waist, and she immediately relaxed into his arms. He rested his chin on Jaimie's shoulder, joining her in her slightly melodramatic observation of Camp.
"Are you doing okay?" Bruce asked gently.
He didn't get a response right away, but he wasn't really expecting one. Jaimie had been uncharacteristically quiet since he had arrived at Camp to help, but Natasha had told him that it had begun around the time they had found the demigod captives at the Hydra base.
"You should get some sleep, Jaimie," Bruce continued, "You've been up for hours."
Jaimie just shook her head softly. "Percy and Annabeth already tried to get me to go home a couple of hours ago, when they left."
"Percy and Annabeth are smart, they know that they'll be more helpful when they come back well rested."
Jaimie didn't seem to like that, and Bruce could practically feel the eyebrow raise.
