Jaemin gathered his friends in the usual spot during lunch, a nervous energy crackling around him. He had a burning question on his mind, one that he hoped they could help with.

"I was wondering," Jaemin began, hesitating slightly, "how can you tell if someone likes you?"

Haechan grinned, leaning back in his chair. "Depends on the person. Like me and Mark, it's very clear we both like each other but won't say anything first."

Chenle's eyes widened in shock. "Wait, what? You can't speed past something like that!"

Renjun nodded, offering a more composed response. "Jaemin, sometimes people will tell you when they really are willing to get closer."

Jaemin nodded thoughtfully, then shared his recent experience. "Well, I hugged Jeno, and he said he wanted a kiss instead, so I kissed him on the cheek."

Haechan's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh wow, the Jeno?"

Jaemin nodded again, a bit defensively. "Yes, the Jeno. You act like he's still how he used to be."

Chenle chimed in, shaking his head. "No, he's not. But I've seen so many 'I can fix him' girls or guys try to flirt, and each time they were rejected."

Renjun added, "I'm not surprised. I saw Jeno getting mad when you were helping that new student in P.E."

Jaemin's eyes widened in surprise. "What?"

Haechan nodded, a knowing look on his face. "Yeah, he looked pretty jealous."

Jaemin was stunned. "I had no idea he felt that way."

Renjun shrugged. "Sometimes it's the little things that show how someone feels. Jeno might not be the type to say it outright, but his actions speak volumes."

Jaemin sat back, processing this new information. His friends' insights made him realize just how much Jeno had changed—and how deep his own feelings had grown.

"Thanks, guys," Jaemin said, a small smile playing on his lips. "I think I know what to do now."
