The morning sun filtered through the palace windows, casting a warm glow on the grand hall where Jaemin and Jeno stood, clutching the letter from Jaemin's parents. They were about to reveal its contents to Jaehyun, Johnny, and Taeyong, hoping for guidance and support.
Jaehyun, Johnny, and Taeyong were seated at a long, polished table, their expressions a mix of curiosity and concern as Jaemin and Jeno approached.
"Good morning," Jaemin greeted, his voice carrying a note of nervous anticipation.
"Morning," Taeyong replied, his gaze fixed on the letter in Jaemin's hand.
Jeno took a deep breath before speaking. "We need to show you something important."
Jaemin nodded and carefully unfolded the letter, handing it to Taeyong. "This was left by my parents. They were supposed to protect me until I was ready to learn the truth."
Taeyong read the letter carefully, his face growing more serious with each line. When he finished, he looked up, his eyes meeting Jaemin's.
"I can confirm that this letter is genuine," Taeyong said, his voice steady. "I've seen similar documents in the royal archives. Your parents were indeed of the Na family."
Jaehyun's eyes widened in surprise. "So Jaemin is...?"
"Yes," Taeyong confirmed, "Jaemin is the rightful heir to the Na family throne. It was always a delicate situation, but your parents were wise to keep you hidden for your safety."
Johnny, who had been silently observing, finally spoke up. "And what does this mean for us now?"
Jeno glanced at Jaemin before answering. "It means Jaemin has a choice. He can accept his role and take on the responsibilities that come with it, or he can continue his life as it was."
Jaehyun nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. "We'll support whatever decision you make, Jaemin."
Jaemin took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the moment. "I appreciate that. I've been thinking a lot about this, and I'm ready to accept my place. I want to understand my past and be a part of this family, alongside Jeno."
Taeyong smiled, a reassuring presence. "Then we will help you with this transition. There will be challenges, but you're not alone."
Johnny gave Jaemin a supportive nod. "You've got this, Jaemin."
With the support of those around him, Jaemin felt a sense of clarity. His journey was just beginning, but he knew he had the strength and the people he needed to face it.
In the dimly lit chambers of an ancient, hidden lair, Jihyo paced back and forth, her dark robes flowing with each step. The walls were adorned with mystical symbols and arcane artifacts, casting eerie shadows that danced with her movements. Her eyes, sharp and calculating, were fixed on a large, ornate mirror that reflected a swirling, dark mist.
Jihyo's heart raced with a mix of anger and disbelief. She had believed the Na family to be extinct, their bloodline eradicated to secure her rise to power. The recent revelation of Jaemin's existence was a direct threat to her carefully constructed plans.
"How could they have survived?" she muttered, her voice filled with venom. Her long fingers traced the surface of the mirror as she focused her energy, trying to unravel the mysteries of the past.
The mirror began to clear, revealing the faces of Jaemin and Jeno, captured from the previous night's ball. Jihyo's eyes narrowed as she saw them together, their evident affection for one another.
"The heir to the Na throne," Jihyo snarled, "and his prince. They think they can just waltz back into power and disrupt everything I've worked for."
She turned abruptly, her eyes blazing with fury. "I need to act fast. If Jaemin accepts his role, he'll have the support and resources to challenge my authority. I won't let that happen."
Jihyo approached a large, ancient book on a pedestal. The pages were filled with spells and incantations that glowed with a sinister light. She began to chant softly, summoning dark forces to aid her in her quest.
"If they're to become a threat, they must be dealt with swiftly," she declared. "I'll need to strike when they're most vulnerable. Disrupt their alliances, sow distrust, and weaken their resolve."
As she finished her incantation, a shadowy figure emerged from the dark mist, a manifestation of Jihyo's power. It hovered ominously, ready to carry out her commands.
"Go," Jihyo commanded the shadowy figure. "Find out everything you can about Jaemin and Jeno. Expose their weaknesses, and bring chaos into their lives. I want them to be too distracted by their own turmoil to focus on challenging me."
The figure vanished into the mist, leaving Jihyo alone with her thoughts. Her eyes were filled with a mix of determination and malice. She knew the road ahead would be fraught with danger, but she was prepared to do whatever it took to maintain her grip on power.
As the last echoes of her incantations faded, Jihyo's resolve hardened. The Na family might have survived, but their resurgence would be met with a storm of fury and deception. She was ready to see to it that their reappearance would not threaten her reign.
"Let the games begin," she whispered, her voice carrying a dark promise of the trials yet to come.
