It was late at night, the stars were twinkling in the sky and the moonlight was shining down on the HQ. The Alpha Echo Team was ready to go to sleep when suddenly the alarms were blaring once again.

"A man is stuck in a cave. The only entrance or exit has been blocked by fallen rocks and the cave is filling with water." The computer read out
"Fuck. We've gotta move fast team!" Shouted Arthur
The computer then reads out more information about the cave and the rate of the water and it's not what the team wanted to hear.
"The cave is filling with water at a speed of half a meter every minute."
"Computer. How tall is the cave?" Arthur asked
"The cave is approximately four metres tall." Said the computer
"We've got eight minutes!" Shouted Arthur
"Evan, Jas, you're in the helicopter." Ordered Arthur
"Copy." Said Evan
"Got it." Said Jas

The rest of the team quickly scrambled into uniform, grabbed their suit modules from the locker room and rushed into the cave rescue bearcats. They raced out of the HQ and towards the scene with their lights flashing and their sirens blaring.

After 5 minutes they had arrived on the scene; however this meant that the team only had 3 minutes before the cave was full. A minute later the helicopter landed on scene.

Two minutes remaining.

"Everyone! Start moving these damn rocks. This is a race against time to get these rocks cleared before the cave fills up and the trapped person drowns!" Shouted Arthur
After 5 minutes the entrance was cleared; water gushed out knocking some of the team off of their feet.

"Evan, grab the backboard and follow me." Said Arthur
"Ten Four." Said Evan
They raced down into the cave and quickly found the man unconscious and without a pulse.
"Evan, get him on the backboard. I'll radio up and let them know to get the defib ready." Said Arthur
"On it." Said Evan

"We found him but we need the defib and the chopper ready to go as soon as we get up there." Said Arthur over the radio
As soon as the man was strapped onto the backboard they raced him up to the surface.

They got up to the surface and immediately put him in the helicopter and hooked him up to the defibrillator.
"Evan and Jas, you're in the chopper with me. Sam, let the nearest hospital know that we'll be coming by air." Said Arthur

Arthur got into the pilots seat whilst Evan started CPR and Jas got the defibrillator hooked up to the man.
After 2 minutes of CPR the defibrillator was ready to use.
"Clear!" Shouted Jas
The man was shocked but it didn't work. Evan quickly went back to CPR while the defibrillator charged up again. 1 minute later the defibrillator was charged.
"Clear!" Shouted Jas
The man was shocked again but it still didn't work. He had one more shock left before the team would declare him as deceased.
Evan quickly started CPR again while Jas charged the defibrillator again. After 1 minute the defibrillator was charged again.
"Last chance. Clear!" Shouted Jas
It worked; but he only had a weak pulse.
"How long until we're at the hospital?" Asked Evan
"We're landing now." Said Arthur

They landed and a doctor with a stretcher was waiting for them. The man was quickly transferred to the stretcher while Arthur gave the doctor the rundown of what happened and how he is now.
"Thank you." Said the doctor "We'll take him from here." They added

Arthur then went back to the helicopter and the team all returned to the HQ and finally got the sleep that they so desperately wanted.

The next day they got an update on the man. He has made a full recovery and is being discharged from the hospital today.
"Thank fuck for that." Said Arthur relieved
