The Alpha Echo Team: Book 1: Part 1

Chapter 18

It was January 11th, and a new day at the HQ. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and there was a cool, calm breeze in the air when all of a sudden piercing the peaceful atmosphere came the sound of the alarm.

"Let's move, team." Shouted Arthur

"School shooting at Sundown Secondary School. Three shooters." Read out the computer

"I didn't know we relocated to America." Said Arthur
"Everyone in P.B.C.'s." Ordered Arthur

Everyone then raced to their vehicles and hopped in. They then raced to the school, and within 5 minutes, the team were on scene with guns ready.

"Suit, scan the school in front of me and give me the positions of the shooters." Said Arthur
"Shooters are in separate rooms. First in Quadrant A, upper. Second in Quadrant B, lower. Third in Quadrant D, lower." Said the suit
"One through Four take Shooter One, Five through Eight take Shooter Two, and Nine through Twelve take Shooter Three." Ordered Arthur

"Team, get into your groups, and let's move." Said Arthur
The team then went into the school, guns ready, and quickly found where the shooters precisely were.

The teams quickly burst into the room and surrounded the shooters with guns pointing at them.

In a matter of minutes, they were pinned on the ground with guns pointed at them and cuffs being put on them. The teams then went outside and met back up to discuss what to do with the shooters.

"They didn't actually kill anyone, so we can't kill them." Said Emily
"But we also can't put them in a normal cell because they did threaten to kill them." Said Maria
"How about solitary confinement cells? They could go there." Suggested Will
"Yeah. We'll put them in solitary confinement." Said Arthur
"Get them beamed up and placed there. While I put the equipment away." Said Arthur

The shooters were then beamed up to The Alpha Echo Enterprise and placed in solitary confinement.

The team then went back to the HQ and parked the Police Bearcats in their bays, ready for the next call.

It was now lunchtime at the HQ, but something wasn't right.

"Arthur, where's Emily?" Asked Jas as she entered Arthur's office
"With any luck, in cuffs." Said Arthur
"Why would you say that?! She's your girlfriend!" Said Jas, confused
"Don't you think it's weird how I broke the rules for her and put her in position Three only because I couldn't demote and strip Evan of his power and then the exact same day Evan's planes systems malfunction and he dies in the middle of a war." Said Arthur
"Oh yeah. When you put it like that I guess it does seem suspicious." Said Jas
"Yeah, it does. That's why I launched an investigation and guess what the investigators found in Emily's plane. A jamming device. She jammed Evans equipment causing his death just so that she could be in a position of power." Said Arthur
"Oh my god! I can't believe she would do something like that." Said Jas
"Neither did I. But she did. And now we have to deal with the mess." Said Arthur
Jas then left Arthur's office and went back to work.

After a few hours, while the team was in a meeting, Emily was brought in, in cuffs. Everyone was shocked to see one of their own in custody. Well, all except Arthur. They expected this to happen.

"Well does anyone want to take a guess as to why Emily is stood here in custody? Jas, you don't get to answer as you already know why." Said Arthur

Everyone was silent. All waiting for an answer. All waiting to be told why Emily was in cuffs.

"No one wants to take a guess. Ok. I'll just tell you why then. She jammed Evans equipment causing his death just so that she could be in a position of power. And because of this obvious murder Emily is sentenced to death in mechanism Three-Point- Oh." Said Arthur

"Also, the Alpha Echo Headquarters is going to be closed for the rest of today so we can recuperate and rest ready for tomorrow." Said Arthur

Emily was then beamed up to the Alpha Echo Enterprise and killed in mechanism 3.0 for her acts while the team shut down the Alpha Echo Headquarters and got some well deserved rest.
