The Alpha Echo Team: Book 1: Part 1

Chapter 14

It was the morning of January 7th at the HQ, and the team was asleep. Well... all except Arthur. As the clock struck 6:00, Arthur's voice came over the speaker.
"All units into formal uniform and line up in the garage." They said

The team got out of bed, into formal uniform, and lined up in the garage by 6:10.
"All units into vehicles and park them in front of their garage door with lights on. Babe, you can do my bearcats as well. I'm going to get the chopper and Jeep into position." Said Arthur

The team then got the bearcats into position and turned the lights on. Arthur got in the chopper and flew it up, and as they were in the air, they wanted all the bearcats moved forward, so there was space for the chopper to land.
"Team, can we move all the bearcats forward so I can land the chopper behind them all, please?" Said Arthur
"Ten-Four, On it." Said the team

The bearcats were moved forward, and Arthur landed the chopper, but just before they did, they launched the Jeep out and then landed. They got out the chopper and got in the Jeep to position it next to the chopper. All the vehicles had their lights on, and they had the Alpha Echo Team flag flying high.

"All units in line." Ordered Arthur
Everyone got into line and was ready for the hearse to pass by the Alpha Echo HQ.

After standing in line for an hour, the hearse came past. As the hearse turned into the road of the HQ, Arthur started the orders.

"Aten-Hut!" Ordered Arthur as everyone stood to attention.

"Present Arms." They added as everyone raised their arm to salute the hearse that is driving past with Evan in the back
As the hearse had finished driving by, Arthur gave the next order. "Order Arms." Arthur ordered as everyone lowered their hand and stood back to attention
"Take positions on cover." ordered Arthur. "Unveil." They added ordering everyone to unveil the new statue of Evan

Evan's statue stands with the rest of the statues of the fallen comrades.
"Ok, team, get me Evans gear. I'll put it in the draw on the statue. Just like we do with any unit that has fallen." Said Arthur
Evan's gear was then put into his statue for the rest of eternity.

"Evan was an amazing unit. He would always help when we needed him and would always be there for anyone who needed him. He helped us in so many missions and saved so many peoples lives. But unfortunately, that does mean he had to sacrifice his life to save others. Evan will be remembered in our hearts in every mission that follows. Fly high Evan. You will be missed." Said Arthur while saluting Evans statue.

The team then went back into the HQ, got lunch, and got ready for any calls to come in as Arthur put the entire Alpha Echo Department on hold for the funeral of one of their units, Evan Taylor.

It was lunch at the Alpha Echo HQ, and everyone was grieving Evans' death when Arthur walked into the room.
"We've got a new ladder truck and foam fire bearcats to be collected. Babe, can you go drive the ladder truck back here, please. Also, Sam, can you please collect the foam fire bearcats. Just hook them all up and tow them all here. I'll make sure you get an escort." Said Arthur
"Ok. I'll get into gear and be at the T.T.B.C. to be taken here." Said Emily
"I'll go and do the same." Said Sam

Emily and Sam got into uniform and got in the Team Transport Bearcat. Arthur then drove Emily to the pickup spot for the ladder truck.
"Babe, just park it in the drill yard because the extra Thirteen garage bays haven't been built yet. Sam, you do the same with the Foam Bearcats." Said Arthur
"Ok. Will do." Said Emily

Arthur then dropped Sam off to grab all the foam bearcats.
"Right, better call the builders." Arthur said to themselves
