ELVIRA GOT HER DETENTION . SHE ALSO GOT HER week's worth of punishment while she was at home. Although her mother expressed how proud she was for defending herself, she also said that she couldn't take it lightly. So there she was in her bedroom, without her walkman, her cassette player and her record player. Alexandria knew that would torture her for the rest of the week. She went from school to home, which wasn't a shock. First, Elvira wasn't a fan of hanging out, and second, well ... She was grounded. She wasn't allowed to go anywhere but to school and back. And honestly, that was alright with her.

She was currently reading The Shining when a knock on the bedroom door filled her ears. They made sure to put the bookmark inside it to save her spot before she got up to open the door. Alexandria stands on the other side with her walkman, cassette player, and her vinyl record player. Elvira moves out of the way so that she could put the stuff down. That meant that her week was up, and that she hopefully learned her lesson from the situation.

"We need to talk. Sit," Alexandria said to her.

Elvira moved the book out of the way before she sat down on the bed. "I thought we talked about everything before I was grounded," she said.

"Not everything," Alexandria replied, "I want to emphasize that you indeed did what you thought was right. You took what was yours, and you were fed up."

Elvira gave a shrug. "So ..."

"So, my point for this was that you don't go beating up people just because you're fed up. And to listen to your brother," she told her.

"Dear mother, as much as I love Salem," Elvira started, "He is much more of the talk less, smile more type. I do not smile. I do not let people get away with being mean to me like he does."

"Well, at smile. It doesn't hurt sometimes," Alexandria explained, "Doesn't hurt to be friendly. Which brings me to my next thing."

Elvira already felt a pit in her stomach. A sigh escaped her lips as she pushed up her glasses. As much as she loved her mother, she didn't think whatever solution she had would make her be friendly.

"Make some friends," she continued, "I want you and Salem to go into town today. Find some area that you like. I'm pretty sure you two can find something to do."
