Chapter 28

"I'm telling you guys, they were holding hands!" Vir hissed, bowing his head, so that Dr. Fahlada Thananusak wouldn't see that he was doing everything but fill out the Medical sheet he'd been given. They are currently at Earn's house alongside his cousins since the Doctors need help to sort the check list of kids needing vaccines and they are rummaging through ten years worth of clinic records.

"You sure she wasn't just handing her something?" Maya, one of his cousin said in a bored voice, not even looking up from her work

Virat, Maya's little brother giggled lightly.

The rumors about Dr. Fahlada Thananusak and their cousin, Earn had been flying around the island for days now, ever since they saw the Doctor walking home with Earn and Mommy Koy, the hawk eye Vir along with their other relatives noticed that they started eating their lunches together. Once, Vir caught them eating from the same Tupperware container and since then, he and his other cousins were buzzing with theories about whether or not they were dating.

The whole family is ecstatic with the prospect of having the rich and beautiful Dr. Fahlada as a family in law. One afternoon, he asked her uncle, the Chieftain and Earn's father about the possible relationship between the two, her uncle just offered him a big smile, shrugged his shoulders and said "Let them be."

Gone is the depressed cousins of theirs and was replaced by the energetic, always smiling, i-am-the-only-child-of-God, Earn Sanithada Phongphipat. 

Sometimes, Vir feels chills in him when Earn is offering her a big and dazzling smile as if everything he's doing is correct. Earn is the first and eldest granddaughter on their side of the family so everyone's afraid of her.

Not only she's treating him like that but, everyone else! What's noticeable is that her cousin turns into a blushing bride whenever a certain Doctor is around.

Vir screwed his face up and fell back against his chair.

"It's like you don't even want to find out what's going on," he lamented. Mak, another cousin, patted his arm with a smirk.

"Oh, we do. But aren't you afraid of P'Earn," she said then pouting at their older cousin who can't take her eyes off the Doctor that's too busy arranging files. "If Earn knows you're investigating her, she will hang you dead and dry."
