" Will I survive?
What if I get bullied?
Will I get to do whatever I want?
I don't know.. I hope I enjoy my stay here"

KASHVI ARORA recently got admitted to one of the most popular boarding school with a highest grade and now didn't know what to do! It was once her dream to get enrolled in this school but now she felt like running away. Her parents just bid her an emotional farewell and now she was all alone,

She dumped her backpack on the nearest chair and made herself comfortable on the bed. Her mum had cleaned the whole room, washroom, new cupboards and everything even after her continuous insistance that the room was shared by 3 and not only by herself

But being a typical mother she was, she interjected with a concerning look
"Koyi na, saare apne bachhe hi toh hai.. bass koyi achhe roommates mile tujhe"
(never mind, every child is the same. I just wish that you get some good roommates)

These words never let her go because boarding school isn't the same for everyone. She made insane researches about the suicidal cases happening in hostels. Ragging, bullying, bodyshaming and what not!!

"Aghh itni bhi kya zarurat thii.. Chup chap ghar mai maze kar sakti thi na, lekin nhi..mereko toh dikhana tha ki mai topper hu! Ab bhugatna beta "
Kashvi complained, her heart rising in agony
( was it necessary? I could've stayed at home and enjoy but no..I had to boast that I was smart! Now bear it idiot)

Just then the door creaked revealing 3 ladies, 2 in hijaab carrying 2 trollies and a bag and the other in a jumpsuit who was most likely to be the inmate. She immediately stood up

" Hi beta! Tumhi ho na maher ki roommate, kaisi ho? Mummy papa chale gaye? "
She is sweet
( Hello child! So you are the one sharing this room with Maher, how are you? have your parents gone?)

" Ji mai thik hu, aur ha abhi abhi chale gaye! Woh phir ghar pahunchne tak der hojayegi na isliye "  I hope I haven't said too much.
( Yes I am fine, and yes it was just few minutes ago they were here! Because it'd be late to reach home na that's why)

So she is MAHER SHAIKH. She is pretty but had a weary look on. I pretended that I haven't seen her and sat on my bed checking my bag. I watched Maher's mom unpack the bags and instructing her how she has put her ironed clothes in a separate bag and to take everything carefully and not ruining the set

Tears started to form in my eyes as I missed my mom who was here explaining the same things to me just some minutes before. I immediately looked down. But it was too late. I felt a hand on my head and turned to look at the owner.

" Hey don't cry! It's fine... I know it's tough but trust me you're gonna have fun. Maher ka bhi first time hai akele rehna. Ab dono aise hi rote rahoge parents ko yaad karke..asli maza kab aayega hostel ka?

I looked the other side and found Maher wiping her eyes. She looked damn funny that I had to look away quickly not to end up giggling at her crying face. The lady happened to be her sister. I was confirmed by the way she talked that she was a hosteller too.

(It's even Maher's first time staying alone. If you both cry like this thinking of your parents then where will be the fun of hostel days?)

She even wiped my eyes and I smiled at her.

" Aunty cleaning ho chuki hai. Mumma ne sab kar diya hai. Dobara matt kariye " I interrupted Maher's mom as she went to pick up the broom again. She dropped the broom with an "achha" and came towards us.
( Aunty cleaning is already done. My mom has done everything. Please don't do it again)
