Do show some love too🫥

As the sun began to set, painting the sky with vibrant hues of orange and pink, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. It was evening, and the long jump event had just concluded, giving way to the much-anticipated triple jump competition by the girls. The air was electric, filled with laughter and shouts of encouragement. Students from different schools crowded the sidelines, cheering for their friends while secretly debating who would win the unofficial "Best Jump Face" contest.

The girls found a cozy spot near the triple jump pit. They were nestled on the grass, their faces illuminated by the soft glow of the setting sun. The sky was a canvas of orange and pink, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves of the nearby trees, adding to the perfect evening ambiance. As the events unfolded, they exchanged playful banter, their laughter echoing in the background.

Suddenly Deepti leaned in with a cheeky grin, her eyes glinting with mischief. "Oooo ye toh wahi hai na, jisne tere saath ladai ki thi?" She tapped on Dia's arm and earned a scowl from her.

(Isn't she the one who fought with you?)

Maher crossed her arms, a playful smirk spreading across her face. "Toh madam triple jump mai aake uchal rhi thi.. huh!!" She rolled her eyes.

(So madam was just hopping around in the triple jump like she’s doing something impressive... huh!!)

As the girl took a plunge, Kashvi’s brow furrowed in concern "I really hope she doesn't hurt herself," she said, concern lacing her voice.

Heer, not missing a beat, shot back with a grin, "Yaar, agar tujhe woh Dettol ki bottle khali karna hai toh seedha-seedha bol dee.."

(Yaar, if you want to empty that Dettol bottle, just say it straight up..)

Kashvi gave her a playful side-eye, "Aisa kuch nhi" she replied and glanced at Dia, who casually leaned back against the tree, her eyes locking onto the boy who had messed with her on the very first day. He was now cheering for the girl attempting the triple jump.

(Nothing like that.)

Just then, their eyes locked—a moment that seemed to stretch for eternity. In that fleeting glance, a wave of emotions surged through her: frustration, annoyance, and an undeniable spark of something she couldn't quite name. Dia quickly averted her gaze and turned her attention back to the jumping girl.

But no matter how hard she focused on the athlete, she could feel his gaze lingering on her—intense and unwavering. Every jump, every cheer from the crowd, seemed to pulse with his attention, as if he were watching her more than the event unfolding before them.

Kashvi understood her discomfort and placed her head on Dia's shoulder and smiled. Dia tapped her cheeks slowly earning a chuckle from her.

"Ya allah" Maher whispered, her eyes wide with mock amazement. "Ye pakka launch ho jayegi mars pe"

(She will definitely launch to Mars).

Deepti giggled, adding, "Ab toh NASA ko bulana padega"

(Now they'll have to call NASA).

Their laughter blended with the shouts and cheers of the sports meet, but just as they were about to comment on the next contestant, a figure appeared before them, radiating annoyance. Bhavna, dressed in her perfectly coordinated outfit, stood with her arms crossed, her expression a mix of superiority and impatience.

"Heer, hume practice karna hai, abhi. Iske baad mere Viraj ke saath badminton session bhi hai and mujhe tumhare ye 'little breaks' keliye time nhi hai" The way she delivered her words made it clear that she considered herself above it all, as if her own schedule was the only thing worth anyone’s attention.
