"Oye veg, jaldi jaa" Maher pointed to Heer, who had taken off her socks and was massaging her toes. Since it was Wednesday, lunch would consist of chicken and paneer. Initially, it was decided that both vegetarians and non-vegetarians would have lunch together, but separate timings were established after some vegetarians complained about the odor. Consequently, the first time slot featured paneer, while the second one included chicken.

(Hey you veg! Go soon)

"Ja rhi hu, tujhe itni urgent kyu hai waise?" Heer inquired while squinting at her. Maher stirred in her bed and gave a sheepish smile.

(I am leaving; why are you in such a hurry?)

"Nahi! Bilkul nahi" Heer shook her head in disapproval. She understood what her friends desired.

(Not at all!)

"Matt kar aisa.. Hum apne chicken tujhe laake denge" Dia begged and received a sharp smack on her back. They desired paneer but couldn't forgo chicken. Additionally, they were given ID cards that they had to present at the entrance as proof. This was the only way they could enjoy some delicious paneer.

(Please don't do that; we will share our chicken with you.)

"Chup kar! Fine! Par aapko jaldi aana hai.. Tum log mujhe itna wait karate ho, waha sab mujhe hi dekhte rehte hai" Heer complained, her lips forming a pout as she recalled a time when her friends had made her promise to share her paneer with them. However, they arrived late, leaving her to be caught by the teacher on duty.

(Shut up! Fine! But you have to come quickly. You guys make me wait so long that people around, keeps looking at me)

"Ha iss baar pakka jaldi aayenge!" Kashvi looked at her with puppy eyes, and Heer nodded in response as she walked to the mess to have her lunch.

(This time, we will certainly arrive early!)

Maher began to grumble after a while. She wanted paneer, but Kashvi, being her usual self, told her to control herself since it had only been ten minutes since Heer left.

"Kab jaaye hum? Aur kya pata woh kutti akele kha jaaye?" Maher let out a loud huff as she collapsed onto her bed. She whined and clutched the pillow tightly.

(When should we go? And who knows, maybe that bitch will eat everything by herself?)

"Maher, ruk ja na thodi der.. Aur Dia, Deepti where?" Kashvi wondered why Deepti, who always joined them for lunch, was missing. It struck her as unusual since Deepti usually looked forward to having chicken, but today she was nowhere to be found.

(Maher, wait for a while)

"Mohtarma ko abhi periods aagayi.. Isliye nahane gayi hai" Dia spoke to her while glancing at the clock. There were still two minutes remaining before they needed to head to the mess.

(She just got her period, so she has gone to take a shower.)

"Abhi chalte hai.. Let's goo" Maher woke up suddenly and dashed toward the door, followed closely by everyone else.

(Let's go now)

"Aree maine bola tha na jaldi aane ko.. Tum log pakka marwaoge ek din" Heer mumbled as she stood outside with her plate. Maher ran over to her, opening her mouth to signal that she wanted to be fed. One by one, Heer fed each of them a morsel. Once she finished, they smiled at her and wiped their mouths. Heer nodded in acknowledgment and went to wash her plate, while the girls hurried inside to enjoy the chicken.
