Deku sighed as he called Katsuki, "Hey. A bomb went off at exit three."
"Any casualties?"
"No. Everyone is okay. Ochako is getting everyone over the ravine. The family told me something concerning though."
"The public service announcement?"
"Yeah."
"I've heard about it over here too." Katsuki sighed, "People kept asking if you were at large. I'm setting it straight where I can. I'm sorry Deku."
"It's.. Okay." Deku sighed

"How's cheeks?"
"She's fine. She's doing really well."

Katsuki nodded, looking at his boots "that's good. Worried about her."

"Why?"
"Been hearing about her getting gutted all night." Katsuki sighed, "can't quit thinking about it."

Deku's heart sank You can't quit imagining me cutting my wife open?"

"I'm sorry Deku. But yeah."
Deku nodded "I-it's fine." even his closest friends thought he was capable of hurting his wife and child. He looked over at his wife and sighed, she was right to run away from him, wasn't she? When that bomb went off, he had protected her, but he had regretted it immediately after. What kind of husband was he? He sighed, he would get better. He had to get better. She was going to be the mother of his child. Deku sighed. As soon as the city was evacuated, they went back to their rendezvous point with the other heroes.

Katsuki sighed "All of the civilians are out.. Everyone go home get some rest we'll talk about battle plans tomorrow. Meet me back here at 10 tomorrow morning." He went towards Deku with a sigh. Deku frowned, wrapping an arm around his wife and kissing the top of her head.

"Hey." Deku sighed,

"How are you?" Katsuki replied , "you two want to stay here tonight? Eijiro's fine with it. He's been wanting to check on Ochako since that party. Worried he was rude about some stupid bet he had." Katsuki rolled his eyes, he loved his husband, but the way he behaved when Ashido was involved was beyond annoying.

Deku frowned "I think I'm going to take Ocha home." He replied softly

Katsuki nodded, "I understand." he huffed, "Glad to see you're okay." Ochako nodded awkwardly before she and Deku headed home. Deku sighed as they got back to their house, parking his car. He stared at his house and felt tears come to his eyes, as if getting back to his house unpaused all of the feelings he was having before they went to meet Katsuki. He felt Ochako's hand in his hair and it made him relax a little. He looked at her sadly.

"You know I love you right?"
"I do."
"And that I'm going to love that kid?"
"Of course I-"
"More than anything. Ochako. I-I mean that. Nothing is more important to me than you and our child."
Ochako sighed "Deku I-"
"We're not going to have a chance to talk about this for a while, Ocha. We need to do it tonight."

"But Dekukun! I don't want our last night of peace to be fighting."
"Who said we're going to fight?"
"The tears in your eyes. Your shoulders are by your ears. You're trying not to scream at me."
"But I-"
"Let's just get in the house." She murmured
Deku nodded, following her into the house sadly "You left me for months! Wondering what I did! How I could make it better! All of that concern! Could have gone towards looking for ways to fit our baby into my life! Into our life. Getting over my fear! Ochako! I could have learned to live with it by now! I could be excited to be dad by now! I could be happy."
"Stop it Deku. Please."
"No. I'm upset. You hurt me!"

"I'm sorry, Deku but I-"
"No buts! No. You hurt me!"

"I'm sorry."
Deku looked at her sadly "I know you are." he whimpered, "it's why I've been trying to be nice. I just. It hurts to know that you were too scared to tell me about our kid. I know my reaction might have been scary, but I still had a right to know. I have never done anything to make you think I would hit you if you told me you were pregnant, have I?"

"No. I just.. If I told you I was pregnant, it would distract you from your work and.. than a lot of people would get hurt."
Deku frowned "I know. But I was going to find out at some point, finding out now upsets me less than finding out I'm a deadbeat father would have."

"I guess. I just thought.. I could wait until the baby was born and introduce you to a healthy, happy little one and that would be easier for you than watching me get all big and round and worrying-"

"You think no one is going to tell me my wife is pregnant? Ochako I went to your apartment thinking you were pregnant by someone else.. My heart was broken. I would rather know you're having my kid than think you were unfaithful."

"I admit it wasn't logical.. I just didn't' want you to worry."

"Well I'm going to. I'm always going to worry about you and our baby. You need to let me. Dads are supposed to worry about their families."

Ochako sighed "I will."

Deku nodded, hugging his wife sadly, "Promise me we're doing this together, Ocha.. That we're on the same team here."

"We are. Of course we are."
Deku smiled at her weakly, pecking her lips and huffing, going and lying in bed. He watched Ochako take her hero costume off, smiling growing as he saw her little bump, her costume didn't hide much, but seeing her bump made him happy. There was a lot of anxiety associated with that child, but he wasn't a monster.. Seeing his wife like that made him happy, and even a little proud. She looked at him and smiled in return

"What?"

"How do you feel?"

"Sweaty. I was going to take a shower."

"Okay." Deku sighed, looking at his feet and sighing as she went to shower. Deku smiled to himself. He supposed Ochako wouldn't likely get to have an appointment to check on the baby for quite a while, that sucked.. they had no reason to believe anything was wrong. So he supposed he shouldn't worry too much about it. He tried to think about Ochako holding a green haired baby in her arms, it was a nice image. Ochako and his child, safe and happy.. But, instead he kept seeing her on the ground covered in blood. Deku sighed, no. No. No one would let that happen. There were over one hundred pro heroes in this town. No one would let anyone gut Uraraka. Deku sighed, the idea of being a father at all was daunting, but a single father? That would be impossible. He might have to put his kid up for adoption at that point. He frowned, that presented a whole host of other problems, didn't it. Fuck! What could he do if Ochako died?  He supposed he would have to retire. Focus on his kid. That could be okay. But it wouldn't happen. Ocha was going to be fine. He was going to be fine. He was going to be happy. He was going to be dad! He was going to be happier than he ever had been before. Because being a dad was great. That's why his dad left him when he was little. Because being a dad was so awesome. what was he going to do?
He heard Ocha get out of the shower, walking down the hall towards their bedroom, he smiled, seeing her again. She put on her pajamas and climbed into bed next to him, Deku grinned, rubbing her back and kissing her head gently she was healthy and alive. Everything was going to be okay.

"I'm sorry we can't go to the doctor and check on the baby. I am really worried about her."
"I'm worried about him too." Ochako sighed, "Hopefully all of this will be over soon and we can check on them."
Deku nodded "I hope so" it would help a lot if a medical professional told him his wife and child were okay. Though he supposed, it would probably make him feel better for all of a second. He was going to be worrying about that kid every second of everyday for the rest of his life.

"Let's get some rest." he murmured, kissing her cheek.
