Tony didn't know if he was actually thankful for the glass walls in his office, because they allowed him to see the place where you worked right across of him, which was a good thing but now what he was seeing was not exactly the sight he wanted to be met with when he looked up from his work.
You were sat behind your desk, smiling at your coworker. Tony didn't even know his name, despite the man being an employee of his. He usually let Pepper handle that stuff. Tony only knew that man was around you a bit too much for his liking and he didn't like it at all. Whenever he would look for you, he found you talking to that man. He didn't bring it up to you, despite the fact the two of you have been dating for months already. Of course, Tony blamed himself for asking you to keep it a secret, not wanting to share what the two of you had with anybody else. Of course that man would be shooting his shot with you... after all, he probably thought you're single.
Tony's eyes narrowed as he watched you laugh at something the man said. When you placed your hand on top of his arm, Tony almost lost it and stormed out of the office to kiss you and prove to that man that you're his and only his. However, he couldn't do that because Pepper walked into his office with a bunch of different questions about the company and his meetings. He let out a breath, looking away from you and focusing on what Pepper was telling him.
At the end of your work day, you walked towards your desk, where Tony was waiting for you. He was leaning against it, arms crossed on his chest, the top few buttons of his shirt undone and his hair messy from how many times he ran his hand through it today. You approached him with a smile on your face, looking around to see if anybody could see the two of you before you placed a soft peck on his lips. He instantly relaxed, feeling slightly better, but the thought of that man and you laughing with him still circled around his mind.
"You're done with your work?" He asked you and you nodded.
"I am." You said.
"Let's go then."
Tony took you home in his car. When he parked in front of your apartment, you asked him to come inside. You could see he was distant for some reason. When the two of you ate and took a shower, you were curled up to his side on the couch. You looked up at him, realizing he wasn't listening to you rambling on and on about the show you were watching, but he was in his own thoughts, rubbing circles on your thigh.
You straightened up and poked his stomach. "Alright. Tell me."
Tony gave you a confused look."Tell you what?"
"You're not listening to me. And you've been distant the whole evening... so, what's the reason for it? And don't give me that talk about the company. I work for you, I know everything is good at the company."
Tony almost rolled his eyes. "It's nothing, Y/N."
Your eyebrows furrowed. "What? It can't be nothing."
"Well, it's nothing. Look, can we just drop this and go back to watching the TV?"
You grabbed the remote and paused the show before looking at him again, raising an eyebrow. "No, we can't. Something is bothering you and I want you to tell me what it is."
Tony was annoyed and felt stupid for what he was upset about, but he couldn't help it. It's the only thing that kept bothering him since the first day you and that man decided to be so close. "It's you."
You scoffed. "Me? What? What does this mean?"
Tony shook his head "It's not exactly you. It's something to do with you."
