"I don't know Malia, it feels like he's pulling away from me. I don't want to pressure him into talking about any of this but I thought he would have by now" I say putting my small bag on the rails above the train seats. I sit opposite her next to the window of the train.

"Maybe he just needs some time to process it all, it must be a lot with his father gone, he's had to fill in the position of head of the family" Malia tries and I just slump in my seat hitting my head against the table. "Y/N he loves you and he will talk when he's ready"

"Hello ladies, ready to get utterly drunk tonight at the slytherin welcome back party?" Blaise says slipping into the seat next to Malia. I groan remembering what tonight is. "Okay why are you being a party pooper?"

"Because..." I start before an annoying voice cuts me off.

"Maybe her boyfriend finally got sick of her whiny little tantrums" Pansy says leaning on the table opposite us. "Isn't that right Y/N? Draco and I just had a lovely conversation outside the train carriage" My heart sinks and I honestly don't have the fight in me today. Maybe Draco is sick of me, I've made his life so much more complicated and he probably hates me for not getting the mark when he has it.

"Pansy, have you ever shut up?" Malia says glaring at her annoyed. She just smirks and fixes her hair. I notice her lipgloss is slightly smudged and I feel the bile in my throat. I stand up feeling dizziness overtake me and push past Pansy as Blaise and Malia call after me. I bump into someone but don't look up. I just rush down the train carriage to the bathroom, locking myself inside and sliding down the door sobbing. I throw up in the toilet imagining Draco and Pansy together, I wouldn't blame him. He must blame me for all of this.

"Y/N open the door it's me, it's Hermione" She says quietly knocking. I sigh and unlock the door before pulling myself up to sit on the toilet seat. She checks no one's looking and locks it behind her quickly. "What's going on? Hey...talk to me" I look up at her as she passes me a tissue for my eyes.

"I think...I think I've pushed Draco away. This is all my fault. I did this to him" I say, my hands shaking and my vision blurring.

"Y/N Draco loves you so much, he wouldn't have done any of this if he didn't and even if you weren't in the picture his family would have still made him become a death eater this isn't on you" She tells me and I take a deep breath.

"I just don't know how much longer I can live like this, I just want to go back to sitting on the floor in grimmauld place and playing silly games" I tell her and she pulls me in for a hug.

"One day soon that's what will happen and Draco will be there at your side through all of it. That I can promise you. Talk to him Y/N tell him how you feel and if I were you I'd take no notice of Pansy Parkinson she was making out with Goyle on the train platform" She says and I sigh realising how stupid I was. "I better go before someone notices but I'll be in the library tonight if you want to talk" I nod and fix my face before leaving the bathroom a few minutes after her. I take a breath and enter the Slytherin carriage seeing Draco sat with Malia and Blaise in a heated conversation.

"Y/N where did you go?" Draco says standing and I shrug sitting next to him.

"For a walk" I answer simply before pulling a book out from my bag and starting to read. The train journey is fairly boring. The others make small talk until we stop and I pack my stuff following Draco out of the carriage. We get to the dorms and I see my name with Malias on the board so we go to unpack in our dorm. Thankfully it's just us two with plenty of room, I do a couple of spells so that we can speak however freely we want in here. I flop down onto my bed after unpacking and going to the feast which was such doom and gloom. Draco sat away from me not talking to anyone. "Thank god I'm not a prefect this year, the first years drove me nuts last year" Malia laughs and flops on her bed.
