This is an alternative ending for the hobbit,
Well kind of.
I wanted to make a Smaug romance story but didn't want to make one where he dies at the end. So instead I decided to find a way where he doesn't die.
Where as in the movie Smaug is hit by the arrow and falls into a not very deep Chanel crushing the town master, I decided instead he will land in the lake, at one of the deepest points and the town master will instead be crushed by a falling building.
Erlösung is my creation, a female cold drake which means she does not have fire, she is two legged with wings.
Her eyes are blue and she sleeps in the deepest part of long lake.
She has slept there for centuries undetected.
She is unusually kind and believes strongly in the gift of a second chance.
She is smaller than Smaug but only by a little.
Her wings are smaller due to the fact that she has spent most of her life in the water instead of flying.
Smaug is older by around a hundred or so years though it is hard to know since no date of birth is given.

Erlösung brings Smaug to a large underwater cavern where she lives. It is not flooded.
It like the beaver dens where you go up a tunnel of water to a pocket of air.
But really big

I will update this information as I see fit.

I suppose I'll show what I think Erlösung looks like and also a photo of Smaug
