The Life And Times Of Rachel Grape

Fall Break Plans

    It was preference night, so I was at Westin's. He said, "I should have gone to my mom's. It's apple picking time and we could go to my grandparents and get apples."
"That would be fun," she said. "Or, we could stay here and have sex."
"You have been so horny lately."
"I know."
"Each time gets better and better. However, I think you do need to get on the pill. You can make an appointment at a clinic. They are all over campus."

"So, on fall break, how about you stay at my house for two days and then we go to yours."
"Sounds good."

Then it happened again. She fell asleep.

"You fell asleep again there, girl," Westin said.
"I have been so tired lately,"
"Awwww. You study a lot."
"I want to do well. I want to run the shop for my mom and dad."
"For sure."

Rachel was doing well in school, not like her roommate whose highest grade was a B. She had all A's. In Westin's book she was an A+. When she was napping, her mom called, "Oh Westie! I miss you. I am so excited that you are bringing your girlfriend." You aren't having sex are you?" He changed the subject.  She would be so disappointed.   Even though she was mentally ill, she was the most important woman in his life.   Rachel was a close second.   Little did she know, that fall,break weekend, things were going to come to a head.  Things were going to take a change and change quickly. 

   Wendy thought of Endora and her time there.   She liked the women of the church,  but that Grape lady and her friends .  Mrs. Grape had a demon spawn and she wondered where that demon spawn was.  Little did she know, her son was sleeping with that demon spawn.  However, in a week it would all be revealed.  Everyone's lives with be blown all apart, but at that moment Rachel was so in love with her precious son.  They even talked about moving in together.   "I hate my roommate," she told Westin a lot.  He wished she could stay, but his roommate was even more  Christian than he was.  He as sort of miffed Rachel was there all of the time and sleeping.  He told Westin about it. 

   "Westin, I am shocked at you?"
"Yes?" 
"Spending all that time with that girl."
"I love her.  She's the one."
"You haven't been saving yourself for her,"
"Oh?"
"It stinks in here sometimes."
"Oh."
"I'm don't think she is very Christlike.  She dresses sort of scantily."

   Yes.  That she did.   Her family wasn't religious.  They didn't pray and "fuck" came out of Bobby's mouth left and right.   Gilbert would look at him, but he wasn't much of a family leader.  Bonnie was.  She was bossy and sort of a slut.  She made so much fun of Rachel.  Rachel was naturally thin.  No.  Rachel was not Christlike, BUT he had hopes for her.  He wanted her to be churchgoing.   They went once in awhile,  but Rachel could stand to go more....  However, he would have to atone for what he did to her. 

     It was preference night and it was also Sunday night, where he was going to have to call home and talk to his mom.   He needed privacy.  He didn't know how his mom would be.  Rachel went to the library.  Arianna got dressed to the nines so she could go be a gamma beta.  However, Rachel was not going to see this.  Her time at the university was short.   In two weeks, she would be home.  She would be home and living a new life and what she thought was the sure thing was going to end very soon.   Also, Rachel was carrying a child.  

     "I can't wait to have her meet you,". Westin told his mother.
"You said she was from Endora?  Her last name isn't Grape is it?"  His heart sank.
"What is wrong with the Grape's?"
"Let me tell you, they are heathens.  If it is her, her mother screwed around on her husband with the local,lower family and had her.  Her husband was God fearing. I don't  want her in my house."

   His heart sank.  He knew he was going to have to oblige his mother and he began to cry.   He loved Rachel,  but his mother was his mother.   Also, Rachel was going to be a little mother.   Maybe this was just lust for him.  He thought of that.  Maybe he sinned and that one is waiting for him is back home or at a future job.   Maybe she was just to sow his oats and he needed to dare someone like his mother.  He sort of began to not like Rachel as much.   This would send some mixed signals.
