The Light in the Mist (Y/NxMuichiro)

First mission

   We were on our way to our first mission, after spending a week trapped and surrounded by demons, it was time to kill them out in the open, it couldn't be that hard, right? We were running to the place we were supposed to be headed, well we were more racing then headed. "Your way too slow Y/N!" She said laughing as she kept running. "Shut up!" I said while catching up to her. We kept going, and going, after what seemed like hours we got to where we supposed to take on our first mission. It looked like a ghost town the feeling was ominous and the air was cool. "Wow, are there even people here?" Enya asked, "I honestly have no idea." I responded. We walked around the town looking if anyone was around that we could ask what happened, but no one was around. "Wait Y/N look." Enya whispered to me, there standing was a young merchant, he looked like he was 17 or 18. We walked over to him, "Excuse me sir, why is no one outside here?" he looked at us and his eyes widened, "What are you girls doing out here get inside! Don't you know about the murder roaming around?!" He told us, so that's what's happening, I bet that "murder" is a demon going around killing everyone.

   Enya looked at me, she had figured it out too, "What are you girls standing around for? And are those swords?" He said, "Thank you for the information, sir, you should go inside I promise me, and my friend will take care of this murderer." I said as we bowed slightly and walked away. The man stood stunned and then went back to his stand to pack up, he knew that we weren't any normal children. We kept walking around the ghost town, "You think it'll actually show up?" I asked, I was unsure about all of this honestly. "Maybe it will, I honestly don't know." Enya responded. We kept walking until I heard a sound, "Enya move!" I push Enya to the side as an axe swung right between us and just barely cut Enya. I draw my katana and get into a fighting stance, "Enya are you alright?!" I ask, Enya looks at me and her eyes widen "Duck!" She yells, I quickly duck down as the axe passes just over my head. I turn to look at it as someone grabs the axe. It was a demon; his power must be to be able to control that axe. Enya also drew her sword and prepared to fight.

   "Well, you girls are quite young, aren't you?" The demon said in a smug voice, his axe in hand he had short red hair, horns on his head, and an evil smile. "The younger the better they taste I guess." He says as the throws his axe again. I try to counter it with my sword but instead I am only able to deflect it. "That all you got?" He says laughing as his axe returns to his hand, "Shut up, would you?!" Enya says as she tries to attack him. He tries to throw his axe at her, but she deflects as she slices his arm off. He looks angry that she actually got a hit in, he quickly regenerates. "So, you girls aren't people I should play with, okay then, let's get serious!" He says laughing maniacally, it was unpleasant to hear. He held his axe to his face as he licked the blood of it, then threw it right at me. I prepared for the impact but just as it was going to hit me it turned unexpectedly and cut my shoulder, the cut was deep but thanks to my freakishly high pain tolerance I barely felt a thing witch both worried me and relived me. "Y/N!" Enya yelled, "I'm fine focus on the task at hand my injures don't matter right now, well take care of it later!" I yelled as I moved aside, and the axe passed right past me. The demon caught his axe and laughed, "I'm surprised you're not in pain right now, that was a deep cut!" I ignored his words and charged towards him, "Earth breathing, second form, Eternal Wildfire!" My blade burned with fire resembling a wildfire burning down whatever it touches. The demon tries to doge it, but I twist it and I was able to cut off his arms, immediately I prepare my next attack, I didn't account for distractions though.

   Out of nowhere I am hit with a strong kick, I flew and crashed into a wall. I coughed up blood as I looked at who the demon was, a pink haired demon with stars in her eyes she looked like she was working with the axe demon, but she had no weapons on her. "I'll take care of the star demon just focus on the other one!" Enya yelled as she charged at her. I stood back up and grabbed my katana, "Still up for more I see!" The demon said as he cackled and prepared his next attack. He took his axe and cut himself with is as the blood dripped onto the axe as it dripped the axe became engulfed in green flames. He threw the axe at me again, but this time it was faster, I needed a way to put out the flames or that could cause more problems. "Earth breathing, third form, raging Rivers!" My sword now covered in beautiful clear river water even if that axe turned, I would be able to too I would be as flexible as water. I hit the axe battling with it trying to push it back as it tried to do the same to me, I put the flames out and somehow, I managed to cut it in half, but that was a mistake. The two pieces turned around and cut my back of my knees. I fell down and hurried to try and bandage it up so I could at least move.
