Rome stood in the kitchen as the kitchen staff finished plating and portioning the meals, the king getting most of the food while the staff got the rest. A sweet younger lady who recently fell into hell, for surprisingly a massacre glanced to Rome.
"Are you hungry miss?" she asked sweetly.
"Hmm? No, just waiting on the king's food."
"Oh? The king's food?" she subtly smirked but shifted it to a smile, "So you're Roman then?"
"Rome is fine, but yes, you?"
"Paris Evergreen," she smiled, it didn't reach her eyes and was something sinister to Rome, but she didn't comment on it.
"Roman Reeves then" Rome smiled at her.
Paris chuckled and turned to the tray of food, "Oh they forgot something on his food, I'll add it and then you should be all set" she smiled before turning and walking away to the tray.
"And what did they forget?"
"Oh just a bit of parsley is all," she smiled back at Rome then grabbed a piece of fresh parsley, placing a spell on it, unknown to Rome, supposedly.
Rome eyed her suspiciously as it was taking her a little long to place some parsley on the meal. Paris stepped aside from the tray.
"All good!"
Rome gave her a smile and picked up the tray, leaving the kitchen to the study. As she walked she looked down at the meal, noticing something off with it. She hurried her steps to the study, swiftly opening the door and shutting it. Rupert looked up concerned.
"Rome?"
"Paris put something in his meal."
"It looks like parsley?" Rupert said confused.
"Yes, I know it looks like fucking parsley Rupert," she walked it over to Lucifer's desk, who just now seemed to realized her presence.
"Hmm?" he hummed out.
"Paris did something to the parsley, use your magic bullshit and figure it out" Rome stated, bluntly, as she pushed his chair closer to his desk.
"If she laced it with fucking mustard gas you'd be placing me closer to danger Rome!"
"Shut it and scan the bitch" she walked around and pushed it closer to him.
Lucifer rolled his eyes and looked down at the meal, he scanned it with magic, flame like magic dancing around in his eyes. His eyes widened and the magic disappeared, Rupert joined the two.
"So?" Rupert asked with curiosity.
"A...love potion?" Lucifer said, not fully certain.
"Love potion?" Rome asked, "She didn't have a potion, just her hands."
"Does this mean she possesses a power to make people fall in love with her?" Rupert asked puzzled.
"There's a chance, yes" Lucifer murmured.
"I'll get the guards to throw her in the dungeon," Rupert said with slight annoyance.
"No, we can't yet, we have no proof other than my words and magic, my magic can only show me what was in the spell or whatever it was with this parsley."
"Hmm? Then what do you suggest?" Rome asked, looking between Rupert and Lucifer.
"Trick her into saying she did it. Let the truth reveal its self."
"How do you suggest we do that?" Rome asked leaning against the desk.
"Are you suggesting you fake it?" Rupert asked.
"Yes, I fake it and you two observe from the side lines, Rupert I'll have you hide in the bathroom, Rome you'll fetch a guard to hold me back it seems and then go fetch Paris, she'll admit to trying to enchant me."
Rome she looked down at the food, "What do we do with this then? We can't throw out evidence." she reached into the soup in front of him and took out the parsley, setting it on the tray beside the bowl.
"Throw out the soup, bring me back the bowl, but first," he dipped the spoon in the soup and swirled it, then handed the bowl to Rome, "gotta make it look legit, don't we?"
"Mhm, could just arrest her without reason but if you want to make it fun," she walked to the bathroom with the bowl, "I suppose you can as the king and all"
Lucifer chuckled, "that's too boring"
