Rupert looked over paperwork and then looked at the time, 9:35, an hour passed the time the king ate normally. He stood up setting his paperwork down, he headed to the door, turning to Lucifer before leaving.

"I'm gonna go see what the hold up on your dinner is."

Lucifer merely nodded at him as he looked over paperwork, though it was most likely he was not paying attention to anything written on the pages. Rupert headed out the door and to the kitchen. As he walked he took out his phone, he noticed something on his calendar and found the ball held annually by Lucifer was supposed to happen the coming weekend. All the high and mighty people and their personal staff will be in attendance. Rupert hated dealing with the socialites of the ball, though he typically just watched his wife at the event each year, he still had to deal with people kissing up to Lucifer while he stood beside his throne. Rome did the same. She also never dressed up for the event, she never saw the purpose to it. Rupert had a thought cross his mind that Lucifer needed a new outfit for the event, as he got every year, he'd bring Rome this time and let her dress up for once, knowing fully well she'd probably show up in jeans and a t-shirt out of spite, but it was worth a shot in his mind.

As he reached the kitchen door he reached for the knob, it was ice cold, Rome's doing. He pushed opened the door and the kitchen had been turned frosty. Rome looked infuriated, seemingly over, crab. Rupert walked over to her.

"Rome."

She looked at him, "Hmm?"

"Cool it with the winter wonderland please."

Rome rolled her eyes and her magic dialed back a bit, "I'm sorry I'm not used to making the royal ass' meals."

"Noted," he moved her away from the crab and carefully removed the meat from it, "perhaps you should get some cooking lessons before you cook, hmm?"

She watched him remove the crab meat from the crab. Her eyes fixated on his action and movements, seemingly coping them in her mind. Rupert looked at her and sighed, he then moved over slightly and gestured to the other crab. She took it and mimicked his movements. She blinked as she held the freed crab meat.

"How the fuck?"

"Language."

"English."

"Roman."

"Rupert."

Rupert sighed and handed her a knife. She took it and cut up the meat how she need it. She then plated the salad she made, then placed the meat on top. She walked the plate over to a tray that had the scallops with the carrot puree along with some tea.

"So you've been in here fighting crab?"

"Losing terribly, yes."

Rupert chuckled slightly and walked to the door of the kitchen. He held it open and Rome walked out of it holding the tray. Once she was out of the kitchen, he snapped his fingers returning it to an orderly state, putting the extra food away and cleaning her mess. Once he glanced it over he followed her back to the study.
