The next day at the Kim household was a whirlwind of activity as the family prepared to attend Hana's wedding. Having successfully dodged the pre-wedding functions with the excuse that Jungkook wasn't feeling well, they knew it wouldn't be easy to skip the actual wedding. So, Jungkook, reluctant yet resigned, was rummaging through his closet, pulling out the most oversized outfit he could find.
"Can't you put on that red dress? It would look perfect on you," Taehyung suggested, watching Jungkook wrap a scarf around his neck.
"I've gained weight, so, it's a no," Jungkook replied, smoothing down the fabric.
Taehyung chuckled softly. "No, Jungkook, you've become more curvy, not bulky," he teased, winking playfully.
Jungkook shot him a death glare, but his expression quickly shifted when he noticed Aira. She sat on the bed, four tiny ponytails sticking up from her head, each adorned with colorful butterfly clips. Her big eyes twinkled as she giggled, sucking on the edge of a powder tin.
"Tae, what's this? I told you to make two ponytails, not four. And what’s with all these butterflies?" Jungkook asked, gently caressing each clip in her hair.
"This is the trend now," Taehyung replied, trying to defend his styling choice.
"Really? You're the one talking about trends?" Jungkook teased back, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes. I know better than you," Taehyung said, grinning. "Now come here. Let me build an Eiffel Tower on your head."
"Ah, baba, no! Leave me," Jungkook laughed, playfully scooting away towards the mirror.
"Fine, then at least wear that lipstick," Taehyung suggested, watching Jungkook apply lip balm to his lips.
"Hmm. But only this time," Jungkook agreed, picking up the lipstick, leaving the lip balm on the table.
Taehyung nodded approvingly as Jungkook applied the lipstick, then smacked his lips together to even the red shade out. "How is it?" Jungkook asked, turning to face Taehyung.
"Let me see up close. I can’t see clearly from here. I have poor vision," Taehyung replied, mischievously inching closer.
"Oh, then it's okay. I'm not taking a risk. I clearly know about your vision," Jungkook said, rolling his eyes with a smirk, pushing Taehyung away who was trying to nuzzle his neck.
Taehyung chuckled, leaning back as Jungkook adjusted the loose strands of hair behind his ears. "Hmm, done. Let’s go then," Jungkook declared, satisfied with his look.
"Okay, but make sure to leave a few steps away from me, Jungkook," Taehyung teased as he picked up Aira. "You have a magnetic power, and it directly hits me somewhere."
Jungkook chuckled, shaking his head fondly as he walked towards Taehyung. He wrapped his arms around Taehyung’s biceps, leaning into his side, while Taehyung slipped his free hand around Jungkook’s waist.
"You know I can't stay away from you," Jungkook murmured, resting his head on Taehyung’s shoulder for a moment.
Taehyung smiled softly, his eyes warm. "I wouldn’t want you to," he whispered back, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of Jungkook’s head as his hand traveled a little down and spanked Jungkook's as.
"Ouch." Jungkook gasped as he jerked forward with wide eye.
"Stop. Baby is with us." Jungkook warned him with a pointed glare and together.
"Ah. I can't when it's this plump." Taehyung replied with a mischievous grin, gently squeezing his left as.che.ks. Jungkook giggled and nudged Taehyung's waist as they stepped out of their room, Aira nestled comfortably in Taehyung's arm, her tiny hand clutching one of Jungkook's fingers.
