"this is the best snowman we have ever built" charlie stated admiring their creation.
lorelai, rory and charlie had been doing the snowman competition every year since charlie came to stars hollow even though they never won.
"i think we actually have a chance" rory says with her hands on her hips. "i am tired now"
"luke's we go then" lorelai exclaims leading the way.
the three walked into the diner, charlie went behind the counter to grab her apron while the two gilmores sat down at a table waiting for luke to give them coffee.
"luke" charlie called form over the counter. "please can you tie my apron"
"charlie im busy get caesar to do it"
"caesar is too busy"
"then get jess to tie it"
"jess will probably tie it to tight and cut off one half on my body from the other" she complained and tried to do it herself but failed miserably.
"give over let me do it" jess said emerging from upstairs watching the girl struggle.
"no i'm 17 years old i should be able to tie an apron" charlie exclaimed with a slight blush creeping up onto her face as she realises she actually can't tie an apron on her own.
jess walked over to the girl who was still trying and tried to make her stop moving but charlie wasn't having it.
"let me do it prescott, it will be easier for me to do it then luke everyday because he's always busy"
"fine" the girl replied turning around letting jess tie her apron. she felt jess move her hair out the way and put it to the side. she suddenly got deja vu from the other day when jess let her borrow some clothes, or luke let charlie borrow jess' clothes.
she was brought out of her daydream by jess tapping her side twice to let her know he's finished.
the girl quickly gets to work but soon stops to pour herself a cup of coffee feeling like she needed one. charlie loved coffee maybe more than anything. charlie always had 4 cups of coffee a day without that much she would be exhausted by 3pm.
"charlie, you are meant to be working" luke exclaimed from behind charlie making her jump and start choking on her coffee.
"oh no, luke's gonna kill a girl" lorelai gasps putting a hand to her chest and getting up to help the girl.
"jeez uncle luke didn't know you had it in you" jess said taking his apron off and getting ready to go to school. "come on prescott time for school"
charlie glared at the boy knowing that he was only going to school with her because she didn't want to school.
"see you two tonight" luke shouts to the pair of teenagers who don't know it yet but they will be sharing a room at the inn tonight. "charlie be here at 7 and i mean 7 not 7:30"
"will do luke, maybe 6:59 if you're lucky" the girl said with a laugh walking out the diner with jess.
charlie and jess walked in a comfortable silence until charlie almost walked into a lamppost and jess had to grab her so she didn't end up walking face first into it.
"honestly london what would you do if i wasn't here?" jess asked putting a finger to his head as in to mimic him thinking.
"probably be the same just maybe a few bruises" charlie replied sounding bored as they got to school and went their separate ways.

charlie walked out of school with lane and dean and out into the cold atmosphere. charlie loved the snow she always had. charlie's dream was to be in new york when it snowed and dance with someone she loved with no cares in the world.
"hey are you guys going to this big dinner at the inn tonight" dean asks as they walk out.
"yeah, i'm just trying to trick my mum into not going with me" lane explains knowing she'll have more fun if her mother didn't come.
"really and how's that coming along" charlie questions knowing mrs kim is not one to be tricked.
"how's that pixies reunion coming along"
"see you tonight lane and your mum" charlie and dean say as they say their goodbyes to the girl.
dean and charlie start to walk further but they see a familiar boy fighting with another boy charlie hasn't noticed ever being in her class.
"hey is that jess?" charlie questions trying to get a better look but she knew it was him, the red t-shirt gave it away that she'd seen him wearing this morning in the diner.
dean runs up to them trying to break them apart. charlie knew that, that was a bad idea as jess didn't seem like he was very interested in being broken apart from the other boy. when dean finally got jess off the boy he took a swing at him. that was when charlie ran up to the pair.
"you saw it was me jess! why'd you keep punching" dean shouted angrily looking towards the girl who had come to the side of them.
"probably why he did it" charlie snorts remembering that jess had a crush on his girlfriend.
jess glared at charlie in a way of telling her to be quiet. "i had momentum" jess exclaimed throwing his hands up in the air as he walked off.
"see you tonight charlie" dean said as he walked off leaving the blonde by herself.

it was now almost 7 and charlie wasn't ready. she needed to have something to eat in case the food there was ass. she needed to finish her makeup and hair. time was not charlie's best friend. charlie felt like she was going to explode, she had really tried to be on time tonight.
the reason for this was her mum. her mum hadn't answered her calls since she was gone but today she left charlie a message saying that the trip was extended another 3 months not even a call. now charlie and her mum didn't have the best relationship but she still missed her.
the door bell rang so charlie quickly ran to get the door to see luke standing outside. "i realised i had a lot of hope of you being on time so i came here"
"im sorry luke" charlie said while grabbing a shoe and applying blush to her face.
"hey kid, what's up?" luke knew something was wrong because charlie never said she was sorry.
"it's just my mum called and said she was working longer and i miss her and i mean it's not like we do actually spend time when she's here but-" she was cut off when luke gave her a hug and promised her it would be okay.
with that charlie put on her other shoe and got in luke's truck which she was not happy with because she was put in the middle.
