Anyways, onto to business! I recently got a comment about how I wrote Brad's Bipolar (NO HATE TO THIS PERSON IM JUST ALSO GOING TO SPEAK ON IT HERE!!) and just wanted to address some things. I pull from my own experiences when writing about mental illnesses and a lot of Brad's experiences in the fic are some of my own. Bipolar is not a curable disorder, it's managed by therapy and meds- something I wrote Brad being on in the end and also an issue that's going to continue being discussed in the bonus chapters. There are TWO categories of Bipolar- one being focused more on depressive episodes with a mix of mania and the other being focused mainly on the mania due to it lasting days/weeks. Brad has Bipolar 1- the depressive one.
Brad's experience and feelings about ARE NOT 100% going to relate to how another bipolar person feels- everyone experiences bipolar differently and it's not something that can be customized or "one shoe fits all". That's just how the cookie crumbles. His mania was never meant to be the focus, his depressive episodes were- if anything the mania was a way to explain his impulsiveness which is often (IN MY EXPERIENCE) common with bipolar. Again, his experience will not match yours if you have BP and it was never meant to.
If you have more questions you can comment them! Just wanted to clear that up!
