The next day Prisha sat on her balcony, sipping her steaming hot chai, her eyes fixed on her phone. She had been waiting for the interview call from Technovva Solutions for what felt like an eternity. The morning sun cast a warm glow on her face as she anxiously waited.
Just as she was starting to lose hope, her phone buzzed. She jumped, spilling chai on her lap. "Hello?" she answered, trying to sound calm.
"Hi Prisha Verma, this is HR from Technovva Solutions. We'd like to schedule your interview for tomorrow."
Prisha's heart skipped a beat. "Tomorrow? Okay, what time?" The HR representative gave her the details, and Prisha scribbled them down, her hand shaking with excitement.
The rest of the day was a blur of studying and preparation. Prisha pored over her notes, practiced coding, and researched the company. She barely took a break, determined to make a good impression.
The next morning, Prisha woke up early, feeling like a kid on Diwali morning. She got dressed in her lucky sky blue shirt and black pants, did minimal makeup to enhance her features, and put on her favorite silver earrings and a simple necklace. She felt confident and poised, ready to take on the day.
As she finished getting ready, she took a deep breath, gazing at herself in the mirror. "You've got this, Prisha," she whispered, smiling.
Prisha stepped outside, scanning the street for an auto. But, as usual, they were nowhere to be found. She decided to walk to the station, her heels clicking on the pavement.
As she reached the station, she was greeted by the familiar sight of crowded trains and frazzled commuters. She joined the throng, pushing and shoving to board a train. After several attempts, she finally managed to squeeze into a compartment, gasping for breath.
The journey was arduous, with the train lurching and swaying. Prisha held onto a pole, her eyes fixed on the ceiling, willing the train to move faster. Nearly 1.5 hours later, she finally arrived at her destination.
As she emerged from the station, she gazed up at the towering structure before her - Tech Tower, a gleaming glass and steel monolith that housed many IT offices, including TechNovva Solutions. Prisha's heart skipped a beat as she spotted the company's logo on the 8th floor.
She took a deep breath, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. This was it - her chance to shine. She smoothed out her shirt, adjusted her earrings, and began walking towards the tower.
As she entered the lobby, she was struck by the sleek, modern decor. The air was cool and crisp, a welcome respite from the Mumbai heat. Prisha's eyes adjusted to the light, and she spotted the elevators.
She took another deep breath, mentally preparing herself for the interview. "You've got this, Prisha," she whispered, smiling.
As Prisha stepped into the elevator, she noticed a boy around her age, wearing a Technovva Solutions ID card. She smiled and said hi, but he barely acknowledged her, too engrossed in his phone.
