I'm happy, my first book TT, I know 'solby' in 2024 is weird (you're reading it so you can't judge), but I can only get myself to write if it's fan-fiction (don't ask why) and I'm obsessed with these two <3

So yeah. Enjoy (:

Clairvoyance:

1. The power or faculty of discerning objects not present to the senses.2. Ability to perceive matters beyond the range or ordinary perception.

Sam found himself sitting on the edge of his bed, lost in thought. He had been experiencing strange presences and odd energy in his room. He mentioned this to Colby, who brushed it off as Sam being paranoid or anxious, but today was just different. It felt strangely normal to Sam.

"Dude?" Colby asked, snapping Sam out of his trance. Colby was wearing old XPLR merch and sweatpants. He stood in the doorway with a concerned facial expression, staring into Sam's eyes.

"Sorry, I was just thinking." Sam said, shaking his head lightly.

"Bout what?"

"Nothing, it's just been very quiet today, it's making me worried." Sam mentioned. Colby could tell he was scared, he knew Sam thought something was up. He smiled sympathetically. Colby would be lying if he said he hadn't felt weird lately, but he thought nothing much of it. They had talked about doing a Dybbuk Box or cleanse of some kind, it was supposed to be for a video. Maybe it could help them behind the camera as well.

"Remember tomorrow we're filming for the Sam and Colby channel. Our flight is at 6 am, for the 'Indiana State Sanatorium' with Jake and Johnnie." Colby said, breaking the silence.

"Yeah I remember message." Sam nodded. They had planed this video for a bit, and they sure had some bad consequences this video. Sam didn't want to think about it.

"You wanna go out to eat or something?" Colby asked, rubbing his hands on his jeans awkwardly. (I get you Colby, I get sweaty palms in front of the love of my life too.)

"Uhm- I'm really not that hungry, but you can go without me."

"Okay, well you have fun I guess." He spoke, shuffling back to his room.

Sam just sat there for a bit, before eventually scooting back onto the bed and pulling up his phone. He scrolled through his YouTube analytics for his channels, stoping over the comments. He scrolled through the random comments, mostly talking about Sam and Colby's friendship, or the miscellaneous scary moments. Of course there were hate comments, that comes with content creation, Sam knew this. It didn't stop them from getting to him, but it made him a little more secure.

Finally he found the 'solby' ship comments. The always made Sam laugh. The comments would include various moments from whatever video where Sam and Colby were particularly close or said something 'kinda gay' to the other. Sam and Colby both go awkward when their ship was brought up, in a video or outside of content.

Sam thought it was crazy how some of the fans thought that their friendship was more, or that they liked each other. He knew that they were obviously just friends. (Well obviously not Sam! Have you read the title?)

Sam just scrolled and smiled at the stupid ship comments and thought aimlessly about random topics.

"CRASH"

Sam jumped up, thoughts processing and heart racing. He ran out of his room to ask Colby what happened.

"Did you hear that?" Colby asked urgently.

"So that wasn't you?" Sam exclaimed, "Did someone break in or something?" Colby would've laughed, if that hadn't been a possibility. They both crept down the stairs entering their kitchen (if the floor plan is off, idc, I don't snoop around their house bro) looking around for any signs of intrusion or something broken. As they entered the living room they saw a mirror face down on the ground, glass everywhere.

"Hello?" Sam shouted, holding his breath. No answer. "Hello?!" Sam shouted, louder this time. Nobody was there.

"Okay now that, that is a little freaky (like me)" Colby muttered, examining the broken mirror.

"You think? Something is definitely wrong with this house!" Sam muttered. "Do you think we brought some sort of entity back from one of our adventures?"

"I'm not sure, maybe, I'm going to clean up this glass, why don't you go -like burn some sage or something." Colby nodded, shaking away and concerned thoughts.

He didn't have to tell Sam twice, he rushed into the kitchen and rustled through some drawers and cabinets, finding the sage and the lighter. He lit the sage, after saying a quick word or two, and held it out, hand slightly trembling. He walked through the house, up the stairs and in all of the rooms. He contemplated going outside, but went against it. It was too hot for LA anyways.

By the time he got back to the living room, Colby had already finished cleaning up the broken mirror.

"That was quick." Sam spoke.

"Yeah, well, maybe the house is cleansed now, or something." Colby sighed, rolling his eyes.

"Do you believe me now?"

"Oh shut up, you piece of crap. Always have to be right." He smiled, chuckling under his breath.

Sam just smiled. He was worried, and definitely wanted to preform a cleanse on their house as soon as possible. But he knew he should just rest up before tomorrow's adventure. Especially since the flight was at 6 am.

Sam walked back to his room and jumped on his bed, starfish style (obviously) sighing into his pillow. He was concerned for his and Colby's wellbeing, but knew that it was going to be alright as long as they had each other's backs. Even if there was some sort of evil entity roaming their house. They were 'ghost hunters' after all.

Plus extra content for their channel. Sam knew it was going to be okay. Cause he had Colby, and he had his fans. No ghost could shake them.
