*shawn's POV*
Y/n started to giggled as I tackled her to the ground with tickles. She was laying on her back on the carpeted floor of her room while I was on top tickling her to death. Y/n begged me to stop
"SHAWNN! STOP IT STOP I BEG-PL--HAHAH"
I finally gave up and rolled over to lay beside her. Her head turned towards me and kissed my cheek
"I love you" she randomly said
That was the first time she had said it ever since we started dating. I honestly wanted to be the first to say it in this relationship, it's only been two weeks and I think it's time that I would say it...until, y/n said it first.
"I love you too princess" I said kissing her forehead.
The door creeped open as I found y/n dad standing there looking at me and his daughter on the floor of her washroom. It was awkward honestly
"H-hi dad.." Y/n said scared getting up from the floor. I follow her
She gestured over to me "this is Shawn...he's um..." She trailed off looking at me
As much as I love her, I didn't want to say I was her boyfriend as much as really want to.
I guess she said it for me
"..my uh, boyfriend"
Her dad made a sharp turn with his head, narrowing his eyes through his glasses. For some reason, I knew he was upset, and it was uncomfortable for me. I could just imagine our--my child dating a boy without telling me.
I stumbled on my words while scratching the back of my neck
"Um, I should, get going"
"Ya..." Her father agreed
So he doesn't think I'm good enough...I guess. Maybe I'm wrong and I'm over reacting.
I walked towards y/n door and stopped before I left her room
"Bye beautiful" I said leaving the room. I was pretty intimidated by her father, so I rushed as far as I could.
I jogged down the stairs quickly, until a soft sob came from y/n's room. I quietly tip toed up the stairs hearing her father scold her.
I listened through the closed door
"Y/n I forbid you from that boy do you understand me?"
Y/n cried "dad you don't know him you laid eyes on him for a second, you can't just--"
"He's no good for you y/n..." He cut her off. I'm not very sensitive towards myself, more to others, but that shattered my heart into millions of pieces, so many pieces in a split second. When the words of her father slipped out of his mouth, a tear came to my eye. I then heard him say another statement between his daughter's sobs
"Why don't you date that, fine young...proper son of my boss"
She sniffled as u heard footsteps towards the door obviously being her. I stepped away and stood beside it instead.
Y/n loud voice startled me "just because you that job right?! Don't test my love for your career"
"GET BACK HERE YOUNG LADY!" He yelled as I heard stomping feet towards the door, signalling me to get the hell out. I left the home and headed towards my car. Someone followed me out of the door, I heard her footsteps knowing it was y/n
"WAIT!!!" Y/n yelled.
Don't stop for her
Just get in your car and drive
Her father hates you don't...I can't
I stopped and turned around with the car keys in my hand. My face a a look of sorrow on it, and it would wash away.
"Take me with you" she breathed
I shook my head in reply
"Listen I heard what your father said...and, I don't think I can go on knowing he hates me"
"Shawn...I'm in love with you, and I rather go off with you and leave this all behind because I can't leave-"
I interrupted her "y/n, stop. You aren't in love with me you're blinded by love. Your father is right--"
"No..." She cried as a tear slipped down her cheek
"You deserve better" I said feeling so guilty about myself for hurting her. She's right, she is in love with me and I'm more in love with her than she'll ever be vice versa, but she can't disobey her father, I would never make her do that.
"But Shawn I-"
I sighed "it's been great, now, please princess, know that I love you...okay?"
Y/n started to cry as he father stepped out of the house. I looked at him as he had a stern look towards me. I grabbed y/n tear stained face with my two hands and kissed her soft pink lips that I was sure to miss
"I'm sorry" I said pecking her lips once again, quickly getting in the car and driving out. I saw y/n cry in her hand, sitting on the stair case.
I just lost the one I love the most...I still love her...but it was for the best
