I was greeted by the sight of Princess Azula's zeppelin when Zuko and Sokka arrived back. I was numb. I had been numb to the world for the last three days since my Dad had passed. I felt like I was floating and not in a good way.

Katara looked at the zeppelin. "What are you doing in this thing? What happened to the war balloon?"

Zuko shrugged. "It kind of got destroyed."

Aang smiled. "Sounds like a crazy fishing trip."

Toph asked, "Did you at least get some good meat?"

"I did." Sokka smiled. "The best meat of all. The meat of friendship and fatherhood."

A young woman about our age stepped off along with a man about my father's age. Behind him was another, slightly younger, man. The man waved. "I'm new. What's up everybody?"

Katara began to cry with a smile. "Dad."

The older man smiled. "Hi, Katara." He hugged Katara.

Katara let go. "How are you here? What is going on?" She looked at Sokka. "Where did you go?"

I turned away from the currently too happy for me scene. Tears had stopped yesterday as I had quickly slid into the second and even faster the third phase.

"We..." Sokka paused, "kind of went to a Fire Nation prison."

Toph didn't care what was going on. "Seriously, you guys didn't find any meat?"

I felt a set of arms wrap around my back. "Are you okay?" Zuko asked

I turned in his arms and buried my face in his robes, crying. "He's... he's gone, Zuko..."

Zuko didn't say anything. He just pulled his arms tighter around me and put his head on mine.

I woke to the sound of bombs exploding. I ran for the communal sleeping area where every one else was, including Zuko since I had wanted to be alone for a while. Three fire nation air ships were attacking the temple with canons. I reached the sleeping area just in time to see Zuko push Karara out of the way of falling rocks and they rolled to the ground together. Zuko stopped them from rolling off the edge by planting his hand.

Katara looked at him angerly. "What are you doing?"

Zuko blinked. "Keeping rocks from crushing you."

"Okay, I'm not crushed. You can get off me now." She pushed Zuko away.

Zuko looked at her as she ran to fight again. "I'll take that as a thank you." He spotted me. "Azul!" He stood and ran to me. "It's fire nation ships, isn't it?"

"Yeah." I threw my arms around him quickly as I earth bent rocks from falling on our heads. I noticed Toph and Haru open up a tunnel to get away and Aang tried to get Appa to go in but he refused.

Deko ran up to me. "Mom already took the others through the tunnel. We have to go."

My face was set with determination. I wasn't leaving Zuko's side. Not now. Not ever. "Go through, Deko. Keep the others safe."

I moved to follow Zuko towards the air ship but Deko grabbed my wrist. "What do you think you're doing?"

"Go ahead, I'll hold them off." I smiled lighty. "I think this is a family visit anyway." I shook him off and took off at a sprint to catch Zuko.

In less than a minute we were both on the ship. I stopped on the edge of the ship, relatively unnoticed, to take in the surroundings. Azula was on some kind of stand, smiling like the mad woman she was. I dropped the last guard with a quick thrust from my fist.

Zuko looked up at Azula. "What are you doing here?"

"You mean it's not obvious yet?" Azula threw her arms open wide. "I'm about to celebrate becoming an only child!" She flipped over the railing and firebent with her feet at me and Zuko.

Zuko managed to dodge the ensuing explosion but still fell down from the impact. Zuko got up and ran across the floor as more guards joined us on the deck, attacking me.

I knocked out guards left and right dodging all of their attacks. I gasped as Zuko vanished over the edge of the deck. I kept hitting the guards, preparing to jump after him as soon as I could, and was majorly relieved when I saw Zuko comeback up on another airship.

Zuko propelled himself back onto the ship. Azula and Zuko continued their fire fight as I fought off guards, knocking them out or throwing them over the edge. Suddenly the ship tilted and I began falling. I would have fallen much faster but I was already against the lower wall.

Azula fell just before I did and Zuko just after me. Appa swooped in and Katara caught Zuko's hand as Sokka caught mine. They pulled us into the saddle and I hugged Sokka quickly in thanks before embracing both Zuko and Katara. We looked back at Azula.

"She's going to make it." I said. As though on queue she pulled her hair piece and fire bent herself closer to the cliff. She back flipped and dug her hairpiece into the rocks as she skidded down, pushing her legs against the rocks to slow down her descend. She slowed to a stop.

Zuko sighed. "Of course she did."

That night we were back to camping. Something we hadn't been doing for the longest time.

Aang smiled. "Wow, camping. It really seems like old times again, doesn't it?"

Zuko broke his biscuit in half. "If you really want to feel like old times, I could, uhh, chase you around a while and try to capture you." Everyone laughed except Katara.

Katara looked down sorely. "Haha."

Sokka raised his cup. "To Zuko and Azul. Who knew after all those times the prince tried to snuff us out, today, they'd be our heroes."

Toph, Aang, Suki & Sokka smiled. "Here, here."

Zuko smiled warmly. "I'm touched." He put his arm around me. "We don't deserve this."

I sighed but smiled. It was great to be together and I knew my family was safe with Hadoka but at the same time I missed them.

Katara glared at us. "Yeah, no kidding." She stood up and left.

Sokka raised an eyebrow. "What's with her?"

Zuko stood up. "I wish I knew." He walked off.

Sokka cocked his head. "What's with him?"

"I'm going to find out." I stood up to follow.

I quickly found them just out of ear shot. Zuko shook his head. "This isn't fair. Everyone else seems to trust us now." He glanced back at me for a second, silently asking for help. "What is it with you?"

Katara snapped. "Oh, everyone trusts you now?" She placed her hand on her chest. "I was the first person to trust you, remember Back in Ba Sing Se." She pointed to the ocean. "And you two turned around and betrayed me. Betrayed all of us."

Zuko raised his head. "What can I do to make it up to you?"

"You really want to know?" She walked towards Zuko. "Hmm, maybe you could re-conquer Ba Sing Se in the name of the Earth King. Or..." Zuko took a step back and bumped into me. "I know. You could bring my mother back."

Katara stormed off.
